Selling B & B - Biko and Book!

in Hive PHyesterday (edited)

Hello everyone, it's me again, sharing my life in the Philippines!

As you know, I am currently living here in Manila (Quezon City), and the truth is, life in Manila is really not easy. Everything is so expensive! I already wrote about my plan to rent out the second floor of my house, but the sad thing is I got cheated by the first team of workers! At the beginning of March, before the weekend they asked for some money in advance and to buy the windows to insert the following week, but after that they didn't appear anymore. Sometimes I am just too soft. The lesson I learned is not to trust people too easily. At least I found new workers, and so far they are doing very well, and hopefully the works will be finished soon.

Despite all the challenges, I keep pushing forward... Until all is done, I can't just sit around doing nothing, and I try to promote my book - "The journey of Life" - on different platforms (currently my X account is growing rather fast), hoping to find the right readers. This April has started well, and I sold two paperback copies.

I am also busy making some kakanin (snacks) to sell. This is my first time making Biko since I have been here in the Philippines. I am selling it at 25 pesos per pack. Since the store in my own house is not yet done, I decided to let the store sell it on my behalf. I give them the pack for 20 pesos, and they sell it for 25, so they make 5 pesos per pack—not bad, right?

I hope the pics below make you crave some, too! And take note, this is also good with your morning coffee, and even in the afternoon! You know what? This is the kind of business I really want to pursue in the future.

And of course, I accept orders, hehe.

Thank you, folks! Enjoy your day!

Wow delicious biko! One of my faves especially when there are ocassions.

If you are ever in Quezon City I will make Biko for you. 😊

Looks delectable kakanin! Some things happened for a reason ma'am, pray for those bad guys and God will do the rest. I truly wish your book will be sold more on the next days, ma'am.

Thank you for the good wishes!

Currently X is helping me...

Hive is very tough for new/small users without connections. As long as I have some HIVE Power I will keep giving you upvotes at least. Good that you find traction on X!

Thank you always for your support!

The Biko looks very tasty, and these workers really seem to have no honor and sense of shame ... Don't let these things discourage you! Nice that your book found some more buyers!

Yes, I am happy with my Biko and maybe will make it more often again in future.

I have heard now, that I am not the only one cheated by these workers from Cavite. They scam customers by starting to work, after a while ask for some money in advance and then leave unfinished projects. So bad, but not much I can do now - just learn from this experience.
