Hello everyone! Yesterday was one of the busiest days I've had in a while. I went to the city to process some important documents, including taxes and land papers. I honestly thought it would be a quick trip, but I ended up spending almost the whole day going from one office to another.
The long lines were exhausting. Everywhere I went, I had to wait for my turn. There were so many documents to prepare and submit that, by the time I finished everything, I felt completely drained. I was so haggard, hungry, and a feeling to going home.

Whenever I feel stressed or tired, I already know what will make me feel better a hot bowl of La Paz Batchoy. So before going home, I stopped by one of my favorite batchoy houses here in Tacurong City.

Tacurong is known for having many batchoy restaurants, and everyone seems to have their own favorite. As for me, I always choose the Ilonggo style La Paz Batchoy. There's just something about its rich, flavorful broth that comforts me every single time.

One thing I enjoy is watching my order being served. The soup comes out boiling hot, with steam rising from the bowl. Seeing it already makes me excited to eat. The bowl is packed with noodles, meat, liver, chicharon, spring onions, and other tasty ingredients that perfectly satisfy my cravings.

They offer different sizes and prices. The ordinary batchoy costs only ₱30, the special is ₱45, and the extra spicy special is ₱55. Also, they have a very affordable for the students 10 pesos in a plastic cup. I ordered the Special Batchoy because it's my favorite. They also serve puto, but this time I paired my batchoy with bread. I love dipping the bread into the hot soup before taking a bite. It's simple, but so satisfying.
Another thing I like about eating there is that the soup is unlimited. Whenever my bowl starts running low, I can simply ask for another serving of their delicious hot broth. Every table also has soy sauce, fish sauce, pepper, and other seasonings, so you can adjust the flavor just the way you like it. If you want something cold to drink, they also have plenty of soft drinks available.

For only ₱45, I had a meal that truly made my day better. After hours of standing in line, processing paperwork, and feeling stressed, that hot bowl of batchoy was exactly what I needed.

Sometimes, the best reward after a long and tiring day isn't something expensive. For me, it's simply sitting down with a hot bowl of my favorite batchoy. By the time I finished my meal, I was already smiling again. My stress didn't completely disappear, but it felt much lighter. And honestly, that's one of the reasons why La Paz Batchoy will always be my ultimate comfort food.
