Therefore, let's go for Star
Star beer is the product of Nigerian breweries PLC , 613 Iganmu house, Lagos state Nigeria, and they also bottled it. After bottling, they dispenses it to different marketers around the nation. That's why I was able to have a hand on the beer. Now, let's talk about the ingredients used in formulating star premium lager beer.
Ingredients
Star premium lager beer is made with some of the nature's finest ingredients and they are:
- Malted barley
- Malted sorghum
- Water
- Hop extract
- Sorghum
As can clearly see from above, I mentioned 2 ingredients that looks alike. You may be thinking that I made a mistake, but I didn't. Yea, there is big difference between Malted sorghum and sorghum. Here comes the difference.
Malted sorghum is a well processed sorghum grain that is soaked and allow to germinate, then, it will be dried up. The purpose is to activate enzymes in beer. While...
Sorghum is just the whole grain of sorghum cereal which you can enjoy raw or whole, and you can as well ground into flour for different purposes like food productions, brewing and animal feeds. When used in brewing, it activates minerals, vitamins and fiber
Now looking at the difference, you'll find out that the difference is clear and that both are essential in any healthy beer.
Star premium quality lager beer appears both in can of 330 ML and in bottle of 600ML. The one I bought and enjoyed is the can beer. The alcohol percentage is 5.1% and the taste is smooth because it has a crips light bitter taste that can suit all beer lovers.
To make opening easier for its lovers, the company produced the can with already made can opener. All you need to do is just to pierce the lid and it will open. No need of stressing oneself looking for external opener.
How I enjoyed my beer
As a star I am, must I go for intercontinental dishes before enjoying my beer? No is the answer. I enjoyed mine right inside my lovely house with my local dish specially prepared by me.
What you are seeing there is porridge potato with bitter leaf known as Utazi. I prepared it to suite my beer.
Moreover, since i have my hive branded mug, no need of using another cup for hive beer contest. Lols. I made use of the hive branded cup and it is as if it added taste to the foamy beer.
