ENGLISH CONTENT
Hello to all members of this community and cat lovers! Let me give you some background. Ying is my sister's adorable cat, who for years lived alone (if we're talking about feline companionship). Now an adult and neutered, my sister brought home a kitten she found near her workplace. Cleo is only a few months old, because she's quite small (although she's already gained weight 😇) compared to Ying, who is twice, or rather, three times her size haha. Although at first, they were a bit wary of each other, now you can see them playing together as if they've known each other forever.
This seems quite curious to me, since, as my temporary workshop is located in the living room, I have the opportunity to keep an eye on the movements and games of both cats. I've noticed that their "fights" went from being about who dominated whom, appearing somewhat aggressive, to becoming more "refined" as the days went by. I imagine that Cleo, being so small, wasn't aware of the force she exerted with each swipe of her paw, but Ying patiently taught her to play without being so aggressive, and sometimes it seems as if they were "playing hand-to-hand"; it's quite adorable when you see how Ying gently places her paw on Cleo and she does the same. You can even see that the bites they give each other are soft. They know they aren't attacking each other, but playing 😇
Another adorable thing is that little by little, Ying has started to share places and things with Cleo. Not only toys, but also the "spring," which is what I call the bucket where Ying loves to drink water (she has two other dishes that are changed regularly, and she drinks from them too 😅), as well as the table, as I mentioned in the last Caturday post, from where Ying oversees each of my sewing projects 🧐
This is very important, because at first, Ying didn't like sharing the bed with Cleo. She started by simply leaving the rooms while grumbling, but then she just lay down away from her. Now, not only can they be close together, but they also groom each other until they fall asleep, and they no longer mind if their paws get crossed.
Adding to these wonderful events was one of the most unexpected: Ying and Cleo, sleeping in the bottom of the cat carrier. Ying was using this piece exclusively as a "crib," and when she first saw Cleo falling asleep in it, she looked at her strangely, but let her sleep there... Until one day, it seems Ying said, "Why not?" And while Cleo was inside the crib, she made room for herself! She couldn't believe it!
At first, Ying turned his back on Cleo, figuring out how to fit into such a small space, but after a few minutes, he soon rested his head on Cleo's belly. It was so sweet! I imagine he was drawn in by Cleo's constant purring, because she purrs a lot, and that surely gave Ying a sense of security. I'm truly happy that they both feel so comfortable together. Ying is doing an amazing job as an adoptive cat dad, and Cleo is a well-behaved adopted cat daughter 😇

¡Hola a todos los integrantes de esta comunidad y amantes de los gatos! Los pondré en contexto. Ying es el adorable gato de mi hermana, que durante años, estuvo viviendo solo (si de compañía gatuna hablamos), ya de adulto y castrado, mi hermana trajo consigo un día a una gatita que consiguió muy cerca de donde trabaja. Cleo tiene apenas unos meses, porque es bastante pequeña (aunque ya ha engordado 😇) en comparación de Ying, que es el doble o más bien, el triple de su tamaño jaja Aunque al principio, el acercamiento por parte de ambos, era algo receloso, actualmente puedes verlos jugar entre ellos como si se conocieran de toda la vida.
Esto me parece bastante curioso, ya que, como mi taller provisional está ubicado en la sala, tengo la posibilidad de estar pendiente de los movimientos y juegos de ambos gatos. He notado que sus "luchas", pasaron de ver quién dominaba a quién, visualizándose algo agresivas, para irse "refinando" con el pasar de los días. Me imagino que Cleo, al ser tan pequeña, no era consciente de la fuerza que imponía con cada zarpazo, pero Ying, pacientemente le enseñó a jugar sin ser tan agresiva y a veces, pareciera que estuvieran "jugando de manos"; es bastante adorable cuando notas como Ying posa su pata con cuidado sobre Cleo y ella, hace lo mismo. Inclusive, puedes ver que las mordidas que se dan, son suaves. Saben que no están atacándose, sino jugando 😇
Otra cosa adorable, es que poco a poco, Ying ha comenzado a compartir con Cleo, los lugares o las cosas. No sólo los juguetes, sino también, el "manantial", que es como llamo al balde donde Ying, adora beber agua (tiene como dos platos más que se cambian regularmente y bebe igualmente de ahí 😅), así como la mesa, como mencioné en el post pasado de Caturday, desde donde Ying, supervisa cada uno de mis proyectos de costura 🧐
Esto, es muy importante, pues al inicio, a Ying no le gustaba compartir la cama junto a Cleo. Comenzó simplemente saliéndose de las habitaciones mientras refunfuñaba, pero luego, simplemente se acostaba alejado de ella. Ahora, no sólo pueden estar juntitos, sino que también, se acicalan hasta quedarse dormidos y ya no les incomoda si sus patitas, se entrecruzan.
A estos eventos maravillosos, se unió uno de los más inesperados: Ying y Cleo, durmiendo en la parte inferior del transportador para gatos. Esta pieza, la estaba utilizando Ying exclusivamente a modo de "cuna" y cuando vio por primera vez a Cleo dormirse en ella, la miró con extrañeza, pero la dejó dormirse allí... Hasta que un día, parece que Ying dijo ¿Por qué no? Y mientras que Cleo se hallaba dentro de la cuna, se hizo espacio en ella ¡No podía creerlo!
Al principio, Ying le dio la espalda al encontrar el modo de ubicarse en un espacio tan reducido, pero con el pasar de los minutos, no tardó en apoyar su cabeza sobre la panza de Cleo ¡Eso fue tan tierno! Me imagino que lo atrajo el constante ronroneo de Cleo, porque ella ronronea muchísimo y seguramente, eso le dio a Ying una sensación de seguridad. En verdad, estoy muy alegre de que ambos se sientan tan cómodos juntos. Ying, está haciendo un trabajo increíble como padre gatuno adoptivo y Cleo, es una hija gatuna adoptiva bien portada 😇
