Julley Everyone,
A beautiful day out here today in the Himalayas as today I was at my hometown after a long time when today was a special day where we were cooking local cuisine called Siddu which was prepared by hand and with the use of flour and some stuffing which was of walnuts and several other nuts that would keep your body warm here in the mountains as this was the dish back from the years and years ago and was a traditional cuisine over here in the mountains.
This is the picture how the Sidhu looks like. It is a steamed dish which is steamed and is really very healthy.
First of all we need to prepare the Best of the walnuts and other dry fruits and the Paste look something just like this.
Then the floor is added and then inside it is the paste that we had made out.
This is the floor that look something just like this for the preparation of this local cuisine as it was fermented and kept overnight just as a Sour Dough how it is prepared. But in just a different way as here it is in the mountains in the Himalayas.
- These were the walnuts that we had added to the Paste
- Mixing the Past with the dough.
- Giving it a shape just like this.
Giving it this type of shape so that the paste inside would stay still once it is steamed also this is the technique which is used in order to make Siddu.
Guys I tried capturing as many photographs as I could of the recipe file preparation of it so that even you guys could also get to know about the technique that how is it prepared.
Finally it is ready for getting it steam and now had put it in this container.
After steaming it for quite awhile around 30 minutes the dish would look something just like this.
