This weekend we went to Santiago and the good thing about being there, that here where we are at the moment there is not, are a lot of variety in gastronomic places. We were already hungry and decided to walk around downtown Santiago and we found a place called El Caney, it is run by Venezuelans and of course, they sell only Venezuelan food...and some Chilean food.

Vero decided to order as Venezuelan as possible, and asked for a "pabellon", which is the typical Venezuelan dish made of "porotos negros" (black beans in Venezuela), fried ripe plantain, rice, shredded meat and some people put cheese and fried egg on it. I went to the other extreme and ordered a typical Chilean dish called Chorrillana, which is a bed of fried potatoes and on top chorizo, meat, sautéed with onions and a fried egg.

I had been wanting to eat this for a long time, and since I am in Chile, I took the opportunity to eat it. Although it was not prepared by Chileans, it tasted pretty good. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal and then headed back on the bus to Olmué.

All different types of dishes are seen in the photo. I think this food will be very tasty. Even if I go out somewhere, I go to eat in a good hotel.
