Hi there Hiversss!! it's me again @yourcap sharing you the latest update of my life. Last Thursday was a rollercoaster of emotions, from scholarship disappointment to thrift store finds and delicious foods.
So last Thursday, my friend and I went to school to apply for scholarships. I woke up early because I have to travel for an hour going to school. We got the application forms from the school office and look for a quiet spot to fill them out. But unfortunately, my application was unsuccessful due to a low grade in one subject, this single mark prevented me from qualifying for the scholarship. But despite the disappointment, I am still determined to continue my studies.
Me and my friend decided to spend some time together to relax and catch up after the stressful morning. It had also been a month since we last had a good, long chat, and I really missed my friend's company. We started by visiting a nearby thrift store, I like it for its wide space, affordable and nice clothing. I helped my friend choose a stylish new outfit, which she also like and bought it for around 200 pesos. The store was surprisingly spacious and well-organized, making it easy to browse around. I didn’t buy anything myself, as I already have plenty of clothes at home and wanted to save my money for food and other necessities.
Next, we treated ourselves to refreshing milk tea at the A Little Tea shop close by our school. After a short wait, we enjoyed laughing and chatting. My friend is always so cheerful and positive; her bubbly personality was exactly the mood boost I needed after the morning's disappoinment. The milk tea was perfectly sweet and creamy.
We felt hungry after roaming around and chatting, we went to Chowking, taking advantage of their buy-one-take-one promotion for 99 pesos! My friend insisted on paying, which I gratefully accepted hehe. We took some fun pictures of our food before eating, a typical girl thing to do😉 The lighting in Chowking was perfect for photos. Our milk tea was the perfect complement to our savory meal.
We spent a good hour at Chowking, leisurely enjoying our food and sharing updates on our lives, offering each other support and encouragement to boost ourselves. It was such a relaxing and enjoyable time, filled with laughter and genuine connection, exactly what I needed after a long and tiring dayyy. We talked about everything from our classes to our families and everything.
Finally, my older sister called looking for me, so we said our goodbyes and headed home. It wasn't the outcome we hoped for regarding the scholarship, but the day ended up being a much-needed reminder of the importance of friendship and self-care. Thank you for reading my blog! See you on my next blog Hiversss!❤️
