Unable to find an open entrance to the church, I navigated the rooftops before neutralizing an infected ambush. As night fell, a fatal encounter with a volatile led to a respawn. After finding the church doors locked, I successfully evaded the beasts by clinging to a wall before messing up with them again.

I managed to get quite close to the church , but I simply could not locate an open entrance along the ground level, forcing me to start surveying the surrounding area while continuously jumping from one rooftop to another to maintain my height from the infected.

While I was actively searching for any vulnerable opening into the church, a lone infected attempted to launch a surprise ambush on me from, but I reacted quickly and cleanly cut him into pieces instead.

Suddenly, the sun began setting below the horizon, and I immediately understood that I would have to endure an incredibly difficult night ahead, knowing that the volatiles would soon be prowling the streets.

To add to my growing fear, I was suddenly ambushed by a volatile in the pitch black; despite trying absolutely everything to shake him off and escape, the beast eventually tracked me down and took me out completely.

After respawning back into the world, I decided to check the front doors of the church where I spotted a faint flashlight beam, but upon closer inspection, the heavy door turned out to be completely hard locked from the inside.

My movements unfortunately drew the attention of another volatile, but this time I successfully survived their wrath by scaling a building and hanging out of reach on a high brick wall, that marked my very first official survival against the volatiles as the chase finally ended.

Now that I possessed a reliable method to survive these terrifying beasts, I decided to intentionally mess around with them to pass the time until daylight arrived, especially since finding an alternative route into the church seemed entirely impossible in the dark.

I spotted a volatile patrolling the street level while I rested safely on top of a roof, so I lined up a shot and struck him with a sharp arrow, prompting the enraged creature to climb up the wall remarkably fast and growl fiercely toward the moon while I scrambled away to escape its immediate wrath.
I'll show what happens next later.
I personally took all the screenshots from my play and I used a logo of the game from online to use in the thumbnail.
This is Pikachuuuuu signing off. Over and out.
