Ramen Isshin Lunch In Toronto

in TravelFeed9 days ago

Hi there. I share my experiences at Ramen Isshin in Toronto.

This is not first time here as I have visited this place around 4 to 7 times back in 2018-2019. That is when I used to live in Toronto. I revisit this place on my day off on a Friday.

Pictures are from my Redmi Note 13 Pro phone.

Ramen Isshin & Locations

Ramen Isshin means "One Heart, One Ramen". This franchise brings true authentic Ramen to Toronto and other locations.

More information can be found on their About page. They have an about Youtube video too.

In terms of locations, they have a couple in Toronto, one in Ottawa, one in Mississauga (west of Toronto sort of near the Airport), one in Vaughan (north of Toronto) and one in Hamilton (near Niagara Falls/New York). The other locations are in Quebec.

I have only been to one of their Toronto locations. It is on College and Bathurst Street. This is near the University of Toronto campus, Little Italy and near Toronto's Chinatown area. I revisit the same location.

Trying Out The Lunch Special

I did some research before coming here. I had my mind set on something like a Red Miso Ramen Soup for around 20 CAD. Then I saw their Lunch Special for 10 CAD!!. Ten dollars before tax for a dine-in lunch on a weekday is rare and very inexpensive. I enter the place at around 11:35 AM. It was not busy. (Other locations/restaurants typically open later at 12PM/noon.)

One mini bowl of ramen noodle soup and small rice bowl seemed like just enough for me for lunch. I did not want to eat too much for lunch. Did not want to risk stomach problems later in the day.

Pictures

I did take a picture of the men's washroom. It is not very big as it is the size of a small closet. They still have this cute, space-saving rectangular mini-sink. In terms of design, I think this sink is quite clever.

Here's the food. One mini bowl of ramen noodle soup with chicken broth and one rice bowl with pork. Both were really good. Very flavourful without too much salt. I did not feel it on my tongue even several hours after my meal.

Closing Notes

I have really enjoyed my time at Ramen Isshin. It was really good to revisit this place after 5 to 6 years. The place having a Lunch special is new as I don't recall the place have Lunch specials in the past.

Rating: 10 out of 10. I would visit again if I am in the area on a weekday.

I think this is a place worth considering if you are in the area.

Thank you for reading.
