This reminds me of a castle I visited in Ireland a few years back. I am always fascinated by how many unique designs you'll see, and how well they fit in their local surroundings. The moat is a great touch. I'd imagine having a moat was quite the flex back in medieval times. I wonder if they kept fish in there, and if the defenders could catch fish from the walls. I'd imagine that would be quite handy during a drawn out siege.

The most was a required defensive barrier and I'd imagine if a seige took place fishing might be difficult for people with arrows being shot at them. Maybe someone tried it though, I'm not sure.
