Hello plant-based foodies, wherever you are in the world and/or galaxy!

Here @sirenahippie

During this month of September 2025, we will begin a series of publications which we have titled: the VEGAN SCHOOL. The intention of these publications is to provide users, hivers and readers in general, timely knowledge about important aspects related to the Plant Power (Vegan) community, which can also be very useful in making quality publications in other blockchain communities.

The reason for starting the VEGAN SCHOOL is that we want to raise the quality of the posts that are presented every day in Plant Power (Vegan) and, to do so, it is necessary to inform and educate some of the people who choose our community to share their posts. This is not only to benefit the vegan community, but we also seek to offer practical knowledge and tools to users, so that they can improve their respective blogs and, by extension, enrich the entire Hive blockchain with their content. With that said, we are going to start the VEGAN SCHOOL, with Lesson number one entitled: COMMUNITY NICHE.

To understand what a COMMUNITY NICHE is, we need to define what a COMMUNITY is. A community in Hive is a space created around a specific topic (NICHE). In this space, Hive users can post about that topic or interest while also interacting with other users, whether through comments, reblogs, and/or votes. This interaction is extremely important because it creates a community framework, allowing for closer ties and the creation of bonds. Based on the above, we can deduce that a COMMUNITY NICHE is the specific topic, theme, or interest about which we can post in a community.

For this reason, it’s VERY IMPORTANT to know the COMMUNITY NICHE of each community in which you want to publish. To do this, you can carefully read the community description, as well as the community rules. With this information, you will be sure of what can and cannot be published in a community, and thus avoid having your posts silenced or downvoted. And if after reading this information you still have questions about the community niche, you can contact a member of the team at the community in which you want to publish and ask them.

In the specific case of PLANT POWER (VEGAN), our community niche is VEGAN GASTRONOMIC CONTENT. This means VEGAN recipes or food reviews. Even though our name may be confusing, our community IS NOT about agriculture, horticulture, or gardening; it is a VEGAN GASTRONOMIC COMMUNITY, and this is clearly explained in our community rules and description. We also run contests on vegan-related topics, but these are one-off activities. It should be noted that any content outside of our niche will be muted and downvoted. In this regard, we invite you to read the following posts:

This concludes LESSON ONE of our VEGAN SCHOOL. We hope this information is useful, that you read it carefully, and that you apply it when creating content on Hive.
