Hi bloggers, Happy new year!! Today I'm going to share another cassava-based recipe. This time, I'm going to make boiled cassava with a more appealing and colorful appearance. Cassava rolls, similar to roll cake, have a pleasant sweet taste. Let's get started.
Ingredients:
- 600 grams of cassava
- 150 grams tapioca flour
- 200 grams of sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 50 ml coconut milk
- 1 packet of vanilla powder
- red food coloring
- vegetable oil
- grated coconut
Steps:
- Peel the cassava and clean it

- Blend the cassava or grate it

- Strain the water and put it into container

- Add salt and sugar to the blended cassava

- Stir until well mixed

- Add tapioca flour and vanilla powder

- Stir again

- Add coconut milk and stir

- Divide the dough into 2 portions

Add red food coloring to one portion and leave the other portion plain
Prepare a square baking pan coated with vegetable oil

- Steam the first layer: the pink dough

After about 15 minutes, steam the dough without coloring on top of the pink dough
Steam again until everything is cooked
Let it cool

- Remove the steamed cassava from the baking pan

- Roll the steamed cassava like a roll cake

- Cut it into several pieces

- Coat the rolled cassava pieces with steamed grated coconut

- Steamed cassava rolls ready to serve
