For this recipe you'll need:
- About half a kilo of porcini mushrooms
- 1 pound of stale bread
- 6 tablespoons of oil
- 3 tablespoons of salt
Let's start with the hardest part: cleaning the mushrooms. If you buy them at the supermarket, they're usually already cleaned. If you buy fresh mushrooms, you need to clean them thoroughly. Use a small knife, or if you have one, a special mushroom knife, to remove the soil that's stuck to the mushrooms, or rather, to scrape it off. Do this with each mushroom. Then, to finish the cleaning, use a damp cloth to remove any residue. If you have one, you can also use a pastry brush. It's a bit of a long process, but it's worth it.
