Our beloved and delicious afam soup

Afam soups is a popular and beloved Nigeria dish, and it's prepared by various people across the country. Such as
Igbo people we prepare afam soup because it is very delicious and it is a traditional dish from the south Eastern region of Nigeria, particularly among the Igbo people another people is Nigeria woman especially those from the Igbo community, often prepared afam soup for their family's and friends.

We also prepare afam soup for various occasions, such as

    Wedding, cultural festivals or birthdays.

Overall, afam soup is a beloved dish in Nigeria cuisine, and it's preparations is often a labor of love for those who enjoy cooking and sharing traditional meals .

My mother is an igbo woman she thought me how to prepared this delicious recipes last week, so I want to surprise her with this recipe so I prepare this delicious recipes on my own so that when she will come back from market she will be surprised to see that I prepare this meal

They ingredients may vary depending on the region and personal preferences.here are some common ingredients used to prepare afam soup

  • 320g of wild spinach
  • 880g of dried water leafs
  • 200g of onion
  • 4 pieces of dried pepper
  • 200ml of Palm oil
  • 4 pieces of Maggi
  • 300g of crayfish
  • 100g of salt
  • 200g of dried cow skin

My ingredients are here with me, let's get it ready and prepare this meal with love to surprise my mother

This are the steps I will take

Step 1
I have to select my dried water leafs, wash and cut them with my ingredients the ones that needs to be cut.

Step 2
Wash and cut my dried cow skin wash it two times and put it in my pot on the fire and add small water, one cube of Maggi, small salt, put your dried pepper and onion, leave it to stir like 40 minutes bring it down from the fire

Step 3
I put my pot on the fire and I let it dry up if it wet, and pour in my palm oil, the oil isn't meant to be bleached but to just heat it up, just add onions stir and pour in your water leaf,stir and close the pot for like 40 minutes.so lastly, I poured in my wild spinach and the dried pepper and Maggi with crayfish,then I put my dried cow skin with the water inside the pot and leave it to stir for few minutes.
