My first Friday pizza night on this finca (2025.08.22)

in Daily Blog11 days ago

Friday pizza night is a kind of tradition on this finca.

We eat homemade oven baked pizza in the evening/night.

I participated in it for the first time.

At least in terms of eating a few pizza slices.

The pizza slices were small, but delicious.

I have not made homemade oven baked pizzas so far.

Maybe I will make some homemade oven baked pizzas in the future.

I already learnt to make a few dishes (for example meat/cheese dish, fruit salads, orange juice) during my voluntary work in the kitchen.

But these are rather about their appearances and about their arrangements than actual cooking/frying/baking.

Either way, on the next week (on 2025.08.28) I will celebrate my first month on this finca.

And probably I will stay on this finca for long term.

This will certainly turn out in the next week.

How come everyone makes pizza on Fridays? I do that too!

Friday pizza nights are completely new to me. And in addition to baking and eating pizza, the people on this finca are playing music too, and they are singing too.

Hey we celebrate Friday's with a pizza party here!

Once you start making your own pizzas at home you will rarely order pizza again!!! ( well sometimes you still will because.. PIZZA!!! )

We use naan bread as pizza base when we are lazy! +100 for GARLIC Naan!!!!

I already rarely order pizza.

In the previous few years I sat in a few pizzerias, and I tried a few pizzas, including spicy pizzas too, which I very much like.

The last time I ordered a pizza to home was multiple years ago.

Currently I do not even remember.

And I even more rarely eat homemade oven baked pizzas (this year maybe for the second time, or for the third time).

But this latter maybe will change (will be more frequent) on this finca in the near future.

pizza has got to be one of y favourite foods! I love Italian cooking and I have such a passion for flavours. A good pizza can be made without any toppings (a margarita) and still be absolutely amazing. The dough is very important. You don't want it to be very chewy (ordinary bread dough will most likely do this. Sour dough works extremely well though! Check out @fermentedphill 's recipes).

When I worked in an Italian restaurant they made their own, which meant a lot of kneading and letting the dough rest. I was only a waitress, but I loved it when the kitchen staff made time to teach me how to do this from scratch.

The next trick is the sauce, a mixture of Italian tinned and chopped Rosa tomatoes tomatoes and tomato paste. The right herbs are also key, like oregano and basil.

The final secret is the cheese! You want that stringy effect that makes melted cheese amazing, but you also want flavour, so I recommend combining grated cheddar and mozzarella.

There you have it! A pizza from heaven! a wood fired oven gives the best results in terms of flavour, but you can achiee pretty great resukts with an ordinary oven.

Then, if you really want to, you can add whatever toppings you like (JUST NOT PINEAPPLE OR BANANA PLEAE GOD ITS NOT A FRUIT SALAD 😂

Cheese, salami and other meats, mushrooms, spicy sauces and spices.

Nowadays mostly these are my favorites pizzas.

I remember trying (eating) pizza with pineapple topping too (a few years ago), but as I currently remember, I have not tried banana pizza topping so far.

Either way, there are many kinds of pizza flavors. I have not tried many kinds of pizza flavors yet.

Nowadays I do not eat pizza often, but sometimes good to try new pizza flavors. Especially if its a homemade oven baked pizza.

oh tabasco is like a requirement :p plus I always add freshly chopped chilies in olive oil and fresh garlic!

Thank you.

By the way, I do not know why spaminator is downvoted my previous comment (my reply) to you.

Some people are right that this platform is full of downvote wars, downvote abuse, which scare away and discourage people from using this platform (the Hive blockchain) as a content publishing platform.

Both already registered users, and potential new users too.

oi vey. It's all good, don't stress. I appreciate the headsup though!
