Happy and productive start to the week, everyone.
I'll tell you that my week will be a little busy, since this Sunday I took a break to do some chores around the house and relax a little. Sometimes it's necessary to disconnect from the daily hustle and bustle and devote time to ourselves and those we love most. Sunday dawned with pleasant weather, the sky was clear, and a gentle breeze came in through the window, which motivated me even more to enjoy the day in a peaceful but meaningful way.
From the moment I woke up on Sunday, I had in mind to make some red beans that we all love at home, and I wanted to treat us a little. I headed to the kitchen with enthusiasm, took out the ingredients, and began to prepare them with great care. As they cooked, the aroma that spread throughout the house was simply delicious, and everyone was eager to try them. I like to cook dishes that connect us to our roots, and red beans always remind me of family lunches.
After lunch, which was delicious and accompanied by white rice, a fresh salad, and protein, we decided to go for a walk around town. We had the idea of getting ice cream, something we always enjoy doing as a family.

Les cuento que mi semana será un poco ocupada, ya que este domingo me tomé una pausa para poder hacer deberes del hogar y relajarme un poco. A veces es necesario desconectarse del ajetreo diario y dedicarse tiempo a uno mismo y a los que más queremos. El domingo amaneció con un clima agradable, el cielo estaba despejado y una suave brisa entraba por la ventana, lo que me motivó aún más a aprovechar el día de una manera tranquila pero significativa.
Desde que me levanté el domingo tenía en mente hacer unos frijoles colorados que en casa a todos nos gusta y quería mimarnos un poco. Me dirigí a la cocina con entusiasmo, saqué los ingredientes y comencé a prepararlos con mucho cariño. Mientras cocinaban, el aroma que se esparcía por toda la casa era simplemente delicioso, y ya todos estaban ansiosos por probarlos. Me gusta cocinar platos que nos conecten con nuestras raíces, y los frijoles colorados siempre me recuerdan los almuerzos en familia.
Después del almuerzo, que estuvo delicioso y fue acompañado con arroz blanco y una ensalada fresca y su correspondiente proteína, decidimos salir a dar un recorrido por la ciudad. Teníamos la idea de tomar una barquilla de helado, algo que siempre disfrutamos hacer en familia.
We headed to La Isla shopping center, which is right in the middle of the city.
The ice cream cone was delicious, quite creamy and with a strong flavor. I chose a combination of vanilla and chocolate. We sat on one of the benches in the shopping center to enjoy our ice cream while we talked and laughed. It was a simple but very special moment, one of those that stays in our memory.
Nos dirigimos al centro comercial La Isla, que está justo en el medio de la ciudad.
La barquilla era de helado, era deliciosa, bastante cremosa y con un sabor acentuado. Yo elegí una combinación de vainilla con chocolate. Nos sentamos en una de las bancas del centro comercial a disfrutar del helado mientras conversábamos y reíamos. Fue un momento sencillo, pero muy especial, de esos que se quedan en nuestra memoria.
When we finished the basket, we went home, appreciating all the beauty of the landscape. The sky was a deep blue, and the clouds looked like brushstrokes of cotton. With the help of the sun, everything looked vibrant and resplendent. The flowers in the gardens and the trees swayed gently in the wind. It was a short walk, but very comforting.
Al terminar la barquilla nos fuimos a casa, apreciando todo lo hermoso del paisaje. El cielo tenía un tono azul intenso y las nubes parecían pinceladas de algodón. Con la ayuda del sol, todo se veía vibrante y resplandeciente. Las flores en los jardines, los árboles se mecían suavemente con el viento. Fue un paseo corto, pero muy reconfortante.
When I got home, I set about painting, which, as I mentioned before, is something that fascinates me and completely relaxes me. I feel my mind enter a state of deep calm when I have a paintbrush in my hand. I had seen a painting on my phone that I really liked, and I wanted to make my own version of it, giving it my personal touch.
I got to work on a painting that I had kept for a long time, thinking that some new decoration wouldn't hurt the living room. To paint it, I tried to use the brightest colors I could find at home, so that this painting would have the joy I wanted to convey. I let myself be carried away by the inspiration of the moment, mixing warm and cool tones, creating contrasts that conveyed energy and emotion.
Al llegar a casa me dispuse a pintar, que como antes les he comentado, es algo que me fascina y me lleva a la relajación en su totalidad. Siento que mi mente entra en un estado de calma profunda cuando tengo un pincel en la mano. Había visto en mi teléfono una pintura que me gustó mucho y quise hacer una versión con mis propias manos, dándole mi toque personal.
Puse manos a la obra en un cuadro que tenía guardado desde hace tiempo, y pensé que una nueva decoración no le vendría mal a la sala. Para pintarlo traté de usar los colores más vivos que conseguí en casa, para que esta pintura tuviera la alegría que quería plasmar. Me dejé llevar por la inspiración del momento, mezclando tonos cálidos y fríos, creando contrastes que transmitieran energía y emoción.
Here I show you part of the process and the final result. I am very pleased with how it turned out, and even more so for having devoted time to something I am passionate about. I hope you enjoyed this painting as much as I enjoyed creating it.
