Hello Hiver’s! Welcome to my blog! I hope all is well and we are all having a happy and joyful heart. As we know happiness is different from Joy. Happiness is based on what we have or what success and accomplishment we have, like how much money we have in the banks or investment. Positions, assets and all that we own. Happiness comes from the outside. Happiness is based on the material things that we have. While joy is from the inside. Joy is being content, having serenity and satisfaction. We can be joyful even if the world is in chaos. Joy is from the heart and Joy was given to us by GOD.
I share this with you all because I enjoy a joyful life right now. well; we live a simple life and feel blessed. Let me share with you our purchase of the discounted couch and our simple snacks. We live a simple life so we would just buy a cheaper but multipurpose couch with my Boss. Actually I called her my boss because she was a bit bossy in terms of purchasing. She has a better choice compared to my choices like she would tell me that my choices are not aesthetics. Aesthetics was the term the GENZ generation or the new generation now used to describe a thing that was beautiful or on trend. Well, I am not growing younger but growing older with a generation of Genz daughters.
At first I saw on social media that the furniture store was on sale so we would grab this opportunity to purchase a couch. It was Saturday with no class so my daughter and I went to make a purchase. I like the L-shaped couch but my Boss Genz daughter does not like it. She likes the Futon type. The futon type was multipurpose so I agreed with my daughter.
After paying the cashier told us that it would be delivered the day after. Then we proceed to SM and eat snacks in Greenwich. As always we ordered our favorites: the lasagna and pizza with the ice tea. We enjoyed the food and the icy ice tea because it was a sunny day.Most of the time, there are so many customers here especially during lunch time so most of the time we would eat here not during lunch time to avoid the crowd.
The day had arrived when our couch was delivered and to my surprise it was not a couch but a box. Worst of all, it was delivered by a LALAMOVE the driver would only deliver and he told me that his task was to deliver it only. I called the cashier of the furniture store and her answer was apologizing to me because she forgot to tell me that they would not install it to prevent damage during the delivery and that she would send an installer to install it.
The installer arrived on Sunday and he installed it. What we like about our new Futon type is both a couch and bed plus it has a cup holder too. I asked the installer to teach us how to turn the couch into bed and how to pull the cup holder too.
We like our simple couch because we can also have turn it into a small table on it with the glasses or mug holder in case we want a coffee or juice. What matters to us is we are comfortable and content sitting or napping on it. After lunch we chit chat and then my boss daughter turn the couch into a bed and they nap with her younger sister peacefully.
I learned that appreciating the simple little things in life makes us have more peace in our hearts. We can have joy when we recognize how blessed we are because of the simple things that God blessed us. That’s all for now my dear Hiver’s and I hope you have a nice Tuesday evening.
