It was the day we were going to send the man to the airport for his 12-day trip to Philippines. The flight was in the morning 7:30am, and we got to reach airport at 4:30am. Yup, such wee hour... We blasted our alarm clock to wake up at 3am because we needed to leave house at 3:30am, the airport is one-hour away from us.
Eating at Uncle Roger's Fried Rice
We reached airport at about 4:30am and took awhile to do all the check-in as well as queueing to drop off the luggages. At around 5:15am, we decided to have our super duper early breakfast.
Not sure whether you know who Uncle Roger is?
His popular phrase: "Fuiyoh!"
Loving the atmosphere and ambience here. Since Uncle Roger always had been emphasizing on his wok-hei fried rice, even the lights here were wok-inspired.
Anyway, we ordered special fried rice, classic fried rice and kimchi fried rice. Husband also ordered the satay as sides.
Then, husband walked around the airport to get us drinks - a mocha canned coffee for me and iced milk tea for him.
Some photos here for memories...
Time to say bye-bye!
Husband needed to start walking to boarding gate, so he departed at 6:30am towards the custom area. See you again!
Hari Raya Decoration
We took some time to admire the Hari Raya Decoration at one section of the airport. So beautiful comic drawn as well as the Malay food display looking so real!
Oriental Kopi
I wanted to get something to reward ourselves for waking up early for this important task, so we went to Oriental Kopi to buy their super famous thick egg tarts. I bought the promo pack which was buy 6 free 1 tarts. The cashier asked whether I wanted to try their taro egg tarts. Why not? So 2 taro egg tarts for me and 5 usual egg tarts. Mind you, it was super delicious. Buttery.. and the egg custard so thick.
On our way to car park, the boys spotted some Japanese buns at Family Mart. Japanese buns are famous for their super soft and fluffy texture. They managed to grab one custard bun, one white choco bun and one choco Dino chigiri bun. They thought they would eat it on our 1-hour drive back, but both of them slept throughout the journey back. Reaching home, all were hungry. Buns and egg tarts for our breakfast while we started to miss the man.
