There are so many on-going nice perks in our country in conjunction with our Independence Day on 31st August, continuing till 16th September which is our Malaysia Day. It is like non-stop celebrating. 🎉 If I would be hunting all the promos, it will be eating out everyday. Anyway, I'm not going to hunt all the promos, but I got to hunt this one, because it has to do with 'nasi lemak', one of my favourite food. Yums!
Let's! Ali Muthu Ah Hock Restaurant!
We went to this branch nearest to us, and easier to find car park, lesser walking required comparing to going to the one in the mall. Spacious too.
Location: 1, Jalan Wangsa Delima 5, Pusat Bandar Wangsa Maju, 53300 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur
The name Ali Muthu & Ah Hock symbolises the three main races in our country - Malay, Indian and Chinese. What a special name to portray the unity among the multi-racial.
It is this promotion which has captured all of our attention. RM6.80 for a plate of 'nasi lemak', consisting a good amount of coconut milk rice (Oh So Fragrant!), roasted peanuts and anchovies, half of boiled egg, slices of cucumber, super appetizing 'sambal', and a big piece of fried chicken legs (oh so spices aromatic!). Can you believe it, it is only $1.62 per plate of this wholesome meal, no terms and condition. The promo as it is. No cap. And no maximum amount spent required.
I went with my boys (my husband is still at Philippines), father-in-law, mother-in-law, brother-in-law and his kids, and a daughter of a friend of mine who was alone at home that time.
Ambience
Super nice ambience here, except that the speaker music was so loud, we gotto increase our talking volume. Lol...
Food — Nasi Lemak!
After ordering, our meals came so fast. It was incredible. We literally could smell the spices fragrance from the fried chicken, all of us straight away dived in!
The chicken was so crispy well-fried on the outside and juicy on the inside. The rice, needless to say, full of creamy coconut milk fragrance. The 'sambal' (our chilli-based paste with aromatics) was so balanced and it was simply delicious.
Look at all of our nasi lemak dish! Yummy!!!!
You could order other food but all of us came for the promotion, so nasi lemak filled our table! We all enjoyed ourselves, food was good, company was great!
McDonald's Samurai Burger!
Next thing I hunted was on behalf of my husband, who is a collector. Malaysia McDonald's has released Dragon Ball Daima cards with every purchase of set meal, the only requirement is must buy through the McDonald's app and also add extra RM3 for the card. Worth it, in our opinion.
So, here! Our collection. 10 sets of McDonald's set meals with 10 Dragon Ball cards.
We are still in the mood of celebrating our National Day, ever so proud of how far we had come, and I continue to pray that our country will be peaceful and full of harmony, wisdom and love. Till then, let's see what other promotions will I hunt next.
