The debate over eating mutton which often refers to goat meat in some regions in India is a multifaceted, ongoing discussion driven by concerns regarding health, ethics, the environment, and, in some regions, religious or cultural politics. I like eating mutton now and then. But lately I develop a dislike after an incident.

Mutton is a highly sought dish In my region. Be it any occasion of celebration mutton is must in the menu. The popularity stems from the unique, localized preparation methods that turn simple ingredients into a celebrated culinary experience. Mutton is a staple items at weddings because it is deeply rooted in local culture, serving as a prestigious, celebratory dish for community feasts. It is highly valued for its traditional preparation slow cooked on firewood in iron pans and is considered a crucial, respectful offering for guests, symbolizing hospitality and celebration. Recently, I was attending a marriage and saw a person busy in butchering mutton pieces. A guest asked for the raw lever from him and start munching it raw. This put me in discomfort situation and made me to dislike. That was the first time that I said strict "No" to mutton dishes.
Raw liver appears as having a "sloppy," and soft. Many people like to eat cooked lever but seeing that guy chewing it in raw develop dislike. It was an unusual picture that keep flashing in front of me ever I came across mutton. Seeing the recent dislike for mutton made people to assume that I am turning vegetarian. I explained my condition to many people but nobody gave it so importance. But somewhere inside I happen to develop a hatedness for mutton, only because of the development that occurs in recent times. I do not see any big difference of aversion towards mutton. I was not a regular eater, it was certain occasion that I enjoy it. But now seems I am on verge of bringing certain change in my eating items. Mutton is going to be a no for sure.
In good faith - Peace!!
