The sunshine is beautiful today. - A.A. Milne
With the current life I’m living, I miss the days when I was a student. I could wake up as late as 9:00am since most of my classes were in the afternoon. Even on days I had 7:00am class I would miss them or go late.😂
How life changes! Who would believe that I wake up between 4-5:00am everyday now. Waking up late hasn’t really been my thing cos throughout my life, I was raised to wake up between 4-5:00am for my morning prayers and also to study and finish my house chores before heading to school. Now that I am older, I have literally the same routine. Somewhere last year, I decided to stop waking up late and go back to the habit of being up early and this requires that I go to bed early. Early to bed, early to rise.😅
My days can be very hectic sometimes but there are a few things that make my day worth it. I always wake up early because I want to see the sunrise. In my current residence, my room faces the sunrise and I get to experience the beauty of it every morning while getting ready for work. I use approximately 1-2hours to get ready for work cos I’m a lady and I need everything to be in place.😅so yes, a beautiful sunrise makes starting my day good.
Next, I make sure to have breakfast before work cos sometimes I don’t even have time to eat at work due to how busy I am. I can just imagine seeing my dad complaining about how I don’t eat so, breakfast is now my thing. I always make sure to have some fruits for breakfast and I’m happy to tell you guys that banana is now my favourite fruit (I’m sorry mr. Orange 🍊) This might be a bit funny but eating banana every morning makes my happy.😅 I like to think that’s my way of living a healthy life and it actually is.😅
I’m one hell of a curious person and one thing I always look forward to is learning something new at work or on the internet. At work, I mostly meet my students at 9am and we have a two hours class which I enjoy very much. Sometimes I have two lessons for the day and sometimes it’s just one. I always look forward to these classes because I get share my knowledge with my students while learning from them.
And oh! How can I forget my office mates.😂 One thing that makes my day is being at the office with the amazing people I share an office space with. Even though I might be the youngest person there, they treat me as an equal and we tend to have very very great discussions during our free time. Sometimes we make fun of each other and all of that.😂 All work and no play makes , Nhaji a dull girl.
For someone who goes to work very early, I’m surprised my mates at work are worried about how I always make sure to leave the office at exactly 5:00pm. I always ask them’ isn’t that the closing time?’ . After a long day at work, I’m always excited to go home to have some rest. I have a life(being in my room 😂) aside being at work and I need to get to it ASAP. One reason why I look forward to going home from work is to eat. I love food and I’m always happy to cook and enjoy freshly made meals. Food makes my day, no doubt about it.😅
How can I forget the best best parts of my day. I thank God for the people that love and care about me. There are few individuals that I talk to all day and these people really really make my day. From the good morning texts, to our funny talks up until we say goodnight. It’s really surprising how we manage to do it but , the best parts of my day include talking to them.
I think selfies have become an everyday thing for me now. For the past week, there’s no day I haven’t taken a selfie. It helps me track my look because sometimes I have some acne on my face due to the heat. The main reason why is started taking these selfies is to actually track the time of the month when I get these acne breakouts but it seems to have become something I always look forward to every morning.😅
Fast forward to sleep. I always put my sleep first because my body needs enough rest ahead of the next day. So, these are the things that make my day. It’s the little things that matter to me. Like the selfies, the moments I share with my loved ones and many more .
I hope you enjoyed reading this, thank you for your time.
