I believe everyone usually experience hunger. For some it is usually so strong that they won't concentrate in anything or be themselves until they have satisfied it while for some, it isn't so strong.
Now if it's lunchtime and I feel those organisms in my stomach planning to start up chaos or riot, I'll just say
Hey stomach, tell those creatures in there to be still so I can focus and prepare something for us to eat. If they think that I'll go grab a quickie takeout, they had better think twice because I'll do no such thing so let them behave, lol.
I'm sure with this, you already know my answer. No matter how hungry I am, I will always chose to prepare my own meals and not go for a takeout. I can't imagine myself ordering a takeout when I am home. I don't even do takeout at the office, I carry my lunch to work. That's how serious I am with eating homemade foods.
Everyone who is close to me know that I hardly do takeouts, Infact since this year I haven't stepped into a restaurant, fast food or ordered takeouts. I prepare my meals except for when I attend events and I eat the food served, if I feel like.
I always make sure to have foodstuffs at home so I can quickly prepare something when I'm hungry, that's if I do not have any cooked food stored in the fridge already. If there's none, there must be fruits or something to snack to hold the hunger until I finish cooking.
You may be wondering why I'm so particular about homemade food. Well you need to know that there's no food as economical, healthy, tasty, enjoyable and satisfying as homemade food. You can take that to the kitchen, lol.
There is this joy that comes with me putting my culinary skills into work and coming out with mouth watering and finger licking meals, lol. I am not only a great cook, I make meals look inviting such that you can't refuse to eat them.
I was trained by my momma, the best cook I have ever known. Mom can do wonders in the kitchen and I'm lucky to learn from her. Everyone of my siblings, male and female knows how to cook very well. What of dad, he too is a great cook. He served the white priests in those days so he knows his onions in the kitchen, try eating omelette prepared by him and your hunger will never be the same, hehehe.
Not only that, I am very particular about the things that go into my meals like the ingredients especially in the aspect of seasonings or spices. Most of the seasonings used by some of these food vendors aren't so healthy. I have a very sensitive stomach so I'm always at risk of having stomach upset if I eat takeouts. So I wouldn't want to use my money to buy something that will cause me health problems.
Preparing foods with natural spices not only give them a distinctive taste but also healthy. Oh, I just love having that natural taste of homemade spices in my meals. Yes, I prepare my spices specially.
The aroma that emits from the pot when the food is cooking usually wets my appetite. I'm not in this group of people who lose appetite whenever they cook, nah, not for me. Cooking increases my appetite and I eat to my fill because food is life, lol.
