Hallo everyone!
Today i'm going to introduce a traditional dish from Indonesia that originates from the island of Java. This dish is commonly known as "KETUPAT".
KETUPAT is a dish made from rice that is then wrapped in young coconut leaves, also known as "janur". KETUPAT is cooked by boiling it for about 4-5 hours using traditional methods.
This dish has a distinctive aroma that comes from the scent of the boiled young coconut leaves a fresh.slightly savory fragrance ,combined with the soft aroma of warm rice.
KETUPAT is typically served during Eid al -Fitr or Eid al -Adha ,and it also pairs well with coconut milk-based dishes such as chicken opor and similar dishes.
KETUPAT also symbolizes forgiveness and togetherness, and it is commonly found in traditional Thanksgiving ceremonies across various regions.
