Whole wheat pita break [ENG/ ESP]

in Creative Cuisine18 hours ago

The short weekend is already over, just like another month, and what better way to wrap up this week than by spending some time in the kitchen with my delicious recipes? Now that I’ve got the hang of making whole-grain bread, it’s even better for me.

To add a little variety to my breads, today I wanted to try making pita-style bread. This time, they turned out to be mini ones, haha. We’re just getting started; I hope they turn out bigger next time.

Ingredients:

  • 300 g whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 packet yeast
  • warm water
  • olive oil
  • salt

Preparation:

To prepare our bread, first add the whole wheat flour to a bowl. In a small cup, combine the yeast with the sugar and warm water to activate the yeast, then let it sit for a few minutes.

Meanwhile, in the bowl with the flour, add the salt and olive oil, then add the yeast. I took the opportunity to add a little flaxseed as well.

image.png

Now let’s knead the dough, and let it rest for an hour.

image.png

After an hour, let’s roll out the dough and cut out small balls—the amount depends on the size you want.

Roll out the dough, then bake for about 15 minutes.

And that’s how our whole-wheat pita breads turned out. Mine came out toasted and really delicious, to be honest. I hope you give it a try and let me know what you think.

Until next time, my culinary friends.
