RE: Don't Bet On Food When People Are At Risk of Starving!

in LeoFinance4 months ago

Got the homestead, learning to grow some foods, but eggs are the way for me. Gotta raise those chickens, lol. My uncle has beef cows, and then we have a nice deer population around here, so I'll be hunting this winter for sure. Last season was a bust because of personal issues.

Person issues… not wanting to kill Bammmmbbiiii 😝

Are you sure that population is nice? Or are they gonna munch the place to the ground? 😝

I hope you are able to safely bag some deer this fall.

On a serious note, have you thought of growing fodder for your chickens?
I like millet cause you can just store the entire head and throw it all to the chickens.

No, I didn't get to hunt because my father was on his death bed the whole first part of the season, passed in December, and I was too depressed to go out and hunt, and really didn't need to be in the woods by myself with a gun. So when someone says 'personal issues' take it as it's said and move on.

I am not currently growing fodder, but have looked into it. I am having to restart my entire flock from pullets because of damn hawks. My uncle that helped get me started is in the same boat between hawks and recently coyotes.
