It's another week and one more chance to have an adventure while doing good for this Planet and rescuing extra food.
This week we had unexpected sighting during our drive :)

This week we had smaller truck, same as last two weeks and we had to unload it 3 times. Driving took longer than usual, but the weather was really great this time and we enjoyed it.
After 2 stores truck is starting to fill up slowly.
We didn't have troubles in traffic this time, very nice ride. However gas prices are up, up, up.

Did you know?
In the US only 40% of the produced food never gets eaten
In the same time 1 in 8 Americans doesn't have steady supply of food
If food waste were a country it would be 3rd biggest greenhouse gases emitter after China and US

And so while our adventure continues somewhere along the way (I think it was in Port Coquitlam) we noticed people standing on the sidewalk and taking pictures.
To our surprise two does were peacefully eating grass and posing.

That's between the houses and besides very busy street.

Totally unexpected sighting. What a beautiful animals!

We continued with our mission and very soon truck was full.
As I said we had to unload it 3 times! So much food waste, but we are happy we could do something about it.
All the food we rescue goes to families in need.

Another great this about our weekly adventure is we get to enjoy the city.
Here are some more photos I managed to take.

In the morning was cold, but after a while temp raised very fast.

Photo above is in front of IGA store in Port Moody. We don't visit this store very often.

That's it for now. Next Mission is soon, I'll keep you posted.
Thank you for your support.
