Hello travelers! Taking advantage of the fact that we were on a nice walk through La Vela de Coro and after visiting the Paseo Francisco de Miranda, we went straight to the beach, which is one of the biggest tourist and natural attractions in the area. We couldn't leave without seeing it up close, and even though the sun was covered by clouds, the sea still had its charm.

Near the shore, a Virgin of Carmen is found inside a small and simple chapel. This invocation of the Virgin Mary is the patron saint of fishermen. I imagine that she is there as a symbol of protection and immense faith for those who work at sea, so that they may return safely to land.

The fishermen's boats looked beautiful floating in the sea while anchored to the mainland, which fascinated me and made me stare at them, while I could hear the whisper of the waves touching the shore, which is beautiful music generated by nature as a gift to my ears, filling my heart with calm, connecting with my thoughts, and taking away all my worries.

Although it was raining, the waves weren't that strong, and I could see some swimmers enjoying the water in the distance. It seemed a little risky to me to do that, with so many anchors nearby, as it is a fishing area, but there I was, walking along the shore with some of them very close by, not caring much, because I just wanted to enjoy a walk.

We went to another area of the beach, which had huge rocks that divided part of the shore, and where Ricardo, my boyfriend, was looking at the peak of Cerro Santa Ana, which could be seen above some clouds. There was also sparse vegetation around.

Before saying goodbye to the beach, I received a gift from nature in the form of a turpial, our national bird, perched in a tree. It is difficult to find, but not impossible. I couldn't photograph it more closely because I didn't want it to fly away and lose sight of it, but it was a huge blessing for me to find it.

The only thing missing was feeling the sand between my toes and splashing around in the water. Although the initial idea was to go swimming, we finally decided to visit another nearby tourist attraction, considering the rain and the fact that we prefer a more beachy climate.

¡Hola viajeros!
