ENGLISH VERSION (click here!)

Hello travelers! Today I want to take you on a new adventure through my beloved country of Venezuela, specifically in the state of Falcón, this time to visit the city of La Vela de Coro. It was my first time visiting this coastal area, and I had always heard that it was a great place to visit.

So, after midday, we left the city of Coro behind. We thought we wouldn't have time to visit any more places considering the rain and that we had to wait a while, but it was possible, so we enthusiastically resumed our trip and found the road leading to La Vela. The road was a little wet because it had been raining for over an hour, but the good thing was that this city is very close and it only took us 30 minutes to get there. The weather was quite pleasant and ideal for riding a motorcycle.

Our first stop in La Vela de Coro was at Paseo Francisco de Miranda, a site of great historical significance that was built in honor of Generalissimo Francisco de Miranda, who was a pioneer of Venezuelan independence and led several expeditions that ended in La Vela, which was also the first city in the country where one of our national symbols, the national flag, was raised.

We climbed up to the promenade's viewing platform and enjoyed wonderful views of everything around us. The coastline was the most striking, even though it was very cloudy. I loved being able to see the beach to the north with boats sailing and fishing in the distance, and to the south, part of the city with the mountain range in the background, which seemed to merge with the sea. while I ate a traditional dish, an empanada left over from breakfast, because I was starting to feel a little hungry.

During our walk, we came across a striking wooden boat, which seemed to have been a place to eat or drink in the past, as it was quite spacious inside, so I didn't miss the opportunity to take a photo as a souvenir.

I really enjoyed this walk, and how fortunate that it was the first place we visited, because in addition to connecting with natural spaces, it is important for me to learn about their history, considering that it is a tourist attraction.

It is my pleasure to share part of this adventure. I bid you farewell until next time. Kisses.

¡Hola viajeros!

Besos.
