We enjoyed the weather in Texas at this time of the year. We decided to take a walk around the University of Texas.
Before we went to downtown, we had some American breakfast at a place called First Watch. I love the food in the US!

We also did some shopping and the time vanished fast. We were hungry again and took an Uber to Nixta Taqueria. I loved this place during my last visit and it was still delicious. The staff were more than welcoming as well!
Austin is a modern city and they even have self-driving cars. We had the pleasure of riding a few of these cars when booking an Uber!
The next day, we went to visit a small ranch near Lockhart. The owner gave as a tour of his ranch and was more than welcoming! Visit his Instagram and leave some love there.

On our way back, we stopped at Lockhart to look at this old Texan town. Austin is amazing, however, these smaller towns have so much charm and character!
I know that I might share too much food in these posts, however, it is Texas and the food is an important part of the experience! For dinner, we had Terry Blacks Barbecue in Lockhart. It is famous all over the world and just look at this amazing platter:
Texas is no place for vegetarians! There will be one more post about our vacation within the next days.
