Hello everyone. I hope all of you are doing fine today. Though we have this very hot climate but we still manage to strive each day with smiles. Thanks God.
It was Tuesday, the last day of the school year 2024-2025. The whole week was exhausting, from preparing all the documents needed for checking school forms and records, to the sleepless nights of trying to open the Learners Information System (LIS) that always says "Bad gateway" to preparing Moving Up and Recognition Ceremonies.
Every classroom teacher has a reason to celebrate after fulfilling all the responsibilities she has gone through for the school year. And my colleagues always consider food as our way of rewarding ourselves for a job well done.
Thus, we tried another cafe in town, which they call the Curveside Cafe. At the front door, it was just like a typical one-storey house, and at a glance, there was nothing so special about it. But my co-teacher led us to a small gate at the side of the house, leading to a small garden with tables and chairs. The place is quite small, yet it was the total opposite of the outside; it has greenery that makes it like you're with nature by just entering the small portal from the hot pavements outside.
And there we were, starting to check the menu given by one of the cafe crews. we had a hard time choosing our food. like we want to try everything, but we just can't eat too much, we were still full then of our 3 pm lunch.
We decided to just take some cold drinks and some burgers, and pasta. and here are some of the foods we tried at Curveside.
Berry Matcha, Matcha, and Iced Caramel Macchiato. These are all must-try.
The Curveside Eggdrop Sandwich is filled with bacon, cheese, and lettuce. This is around 3.5 USD, which is good for two.
Curveside Carbonara, the creamiest sauce and most delicious carbonara I had.
I forgot the name of this. Hahahahhaha It was my first time to try something like this. It's like a pastry topped with almond slices and chocolates. This is so delightful and sweet. And the almonds and chocolates with the crunchy pastry crust complement well.
And this was how we refreshed our exhausted souls after those long hours of work.
