Greetings of the day,
Ajmer always attracts me. There is a different spirituality in the streets of this city, its air and its mountains. Recently I suddenly felt like going away from the crowd of the city and spending some moments in the silence of the hills. Just with that desire, I set out towards those high hills of Ajmer, where Gaus Pak Chilla is situated. While walking on the way, it felt as if the city was slowly being left behind and only the vast silence of the mountains and a slight cool breeze was welcoming me.

As we climbed higher, the feel of the air changed. The warmth below was replaced by the coolness of the mountains. The path sometimes went uphill and sometimes downhill, but at every turn a new scene emerged. Ajmer spread below looked like a living painting. Small houses, roads spread far and wide, shining lights in the middle and the two and a half day old hut that looked like a white crown in the middle of it all – everything was so beautiful that the mind stopped there many times. Stopped at many places, took pictures and felt the moment. Seeing the city from above in the silence of the mountains gives a different comfort.

As I climbed up, the path to Gaus Pak Chilla became clearly visible in front. This place is not special just because it is at a height, but the spirituality here is felt at every step. The air was slightly cool and clear, and the sound of Azaan coming from a distance was adding new colors to the silence of the hills. By the time we reached Chilla, it felt as if we had stepped into another world – where there was only peace, mountains and peace that penetrated deep within. After reaching there he took a long look down towards the city. The whole of Ajmer seemed to be spread before me like an open book – Khwaja Saheb's Dargah looked like a shining light from above, around which people were seen running like ants. This scene was so beautiful that the camera automatically came into hand again and again.

I sat there for some time, feeling the breeze and the peace of the mountains. Even the light layer of noise coming from a distant city became completely soft by the time it reached here. It seemed as if the mountains engulfed him. Didn't feel like returning, but gradually evening started setting and we had to move back down. The descent route was certainly a little easier than the ascent, but the cool evening breeze and the light golden light of the setting sun made the entire route even more charming.

While coming down, the lights of the city started waking up one by one. As I moved downwards, the view of the Dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Rahmatullah Alaih became more clearly visible. In the evening, the light of the Dargah is different – pale yellow light, movement going on all around, sounds of prayers and overflowing flood of faith of the people. My eyes were being drawn towards the Dargah again and again. The bright city seen from the mountain above now looked like a living world from below.

While returning, what fascinated me the most was the evening view of the Dargah. The green emerald lights shining in the light mist, the hustle and bustle of people, the smell of perfume wafting from the shops, and the people standing near the lofty doors asking for blessings – all these took away my tiredness in an instant. It seemed as if the entire city had gathered at that one place and the air was also fragrant with prayers. While taking the picture, I felt that maybe this moment will remain not only in the camera but also in the heart forever.

Finally I headed towards the Usmani Gate, whose architecture always fascinates me. This door looks even more grand in the evening light. Its arches, the carvings on it and the sound of the footsteps of people passing under it seem to tell an old story. When I turned back while standing near the gate, the entire street was filled with lights. The contrast between the silence from above and the colorful movement below was very interesting—but both had their own beauty, their own story.

Standing in front of the Ottoman Gate, I took a deep breath. Was tired, but in no hurry to return to the room. The cool air of the mountains and the spiritual light of the Dargah were still resonating in my mind. Such journeys are decided not only by steps but also by feelings. In this hilly trip to Ajmer, I felt the silence of the mountains, the depth of history, the beauty of the city and the spirituality of the Dargah – everything together. This journey was not just a day's climb or a memory of a few photographs, but an experience that will remain in the heart for a long time.
