Hello Philippines! Hello world! I will be sharing my experiences again. It was our second day on Guimaras Island. After a refreshing swim that washed away our travel fatigue, our excitement was palpable.
The truth is, we already saw this tarpaulin the night before. And now, hmmm my stomach was already rumbling with anticipation, eager for the unique mango delights Guimaras promised.
Our trusty tour guide, with his ever-ready car, whisked us away to the spot.
It wasn't a grand, imposing restaurant, but a charming, almost van-house-like structure. Its unassuming exterior belies the warmth within. As we stepped inside, a wave of comfort washed over me.
The place felt instantly cozy, like stepping into a friend's living room.
There were soft sofas that practically invited you to sink in, and the air hummed with a relaxed, welcoming vibe.
I noticed a contented-looking dog curled up under one of the tables. It was wonderfully pet-friendly, adding to the homey atmosphere.
Around us, the place is a mix of faces, some clearly fellow tourists, others locals, all sharing the quiet enjoyment of the space.
And ohhh look at these shelves! A feast for the eyes and taste buds.
This one is sweet temptation galore. A taste of the Philippines!
This cake display showcases the best of local flavors. From the tropical mango cheesecake to the traditional ube roll, it's a sweet journey through Filipino cuisine.💛
While waiting for our pizzas, we couldn't resist the mango cheesecake and the mango sundae. It tastes like mango 😂.
The mango pizza finally arrived. A vibrant mosaic that instantly captured my gaze. Golden mango slices lay beneath a blanket of melted mozzarella. Hmmmmmmm, their sweet aroma mingling with the savory promise of cheese (cheesophile here). A few bright green bell pepper strips added a pop of color. My mouth watered before the first bite.
Another pizza in case we don't like the taste of the mango. It was our first time trying the mango pizza.
Next, the mango coffee latte arrived in a charming mason jar. It promised a unique blend of flavors, and I couldn't wait to try it. The first sip was a smooth, creamy embrace of robust coffee followed by the sweet-tart essence of fresh mango.
Come on lets eat.
We stayed for over an hour, lost in the moment while savoring each bite and sip. The cozy ambiance, the feeling of being right at home. The unique flavors that only Guimaras could offer us are among the unforgettable meals I have ever had.
