Hello everyone! Last night was our Mother’s Day celebration at home very simple, but truly meaningful and unforgettable.
My husband prepares anything he accompanied with my brother-in-law. We just stayed together as a family and cooked what we had. We grilled alangang duck and turned it into adobo, and it ended up being one of the most comforting dishes of the night because it was cooked with effort and shared with love. From our backyard, we also picked native mangoes and placed them on the table. Simple food, but it made the table feel complete.

We had a boodle fight style dinner, just like what we naturally do in simple family gatherings. Everything was laid out on the table and we all ate together using our hands. My mother-in-law was with us, and the whole family was complete. What made it even more special was that our husbands were the ones who prepared the simple dinner. Even though it just from our backyard, it felt very warm and full of effort from everyone.
As we were eating and laughing, I couldn’t help but feel grateful and emotional thinking about Mother’s Day. It reminded me of the real sacrifices of mothers the endless giving, the patience, the strength, and the quiet love they show every single day. A mother doesn’t need recognition to continue giving her best. She just does it because of love.

Looking at my mother-in-law that night also made me reflect on how mothers really carry so much for the family. Many of their sacrifices are unseen, but they are the reason families stay strong and united. That simple dinner became a moment of appreciation for all mothers, including the everyday struggles and love they give without asking anything in return.

Even though everything was simple, there was no negativity at all just pure happiness, peace, and togetherness. We shared food, stories, and laughter, and it felt like time slowed down just for us to enjoy the moment.

Thank you for reading my story, this is my owned picture, edited in Canva. That night became a beautiful reminder that the best celebrations are not expensive or grand, but those that are real, honest, and shared with the people who matter most. It was a simple Mother’s Day, but it became one of the most meaningful memories we had as a family. Have a nice day! 💛
