This lunch was so simple, but super special for us. Today, I made crispy vegetable torta. It’s my smart way to make my kids eat vegetables they don’t usually like! "I mixed cabbage and carrots with some pork, eggs, and a bit of flour. I added salt and pepper, then fried them until cooked. The kitchen smelled nice." While cooking, the kids keep asking what I’m cooking, and I can see their faces how excited for lunch. how happy we were at the table. Everyone had their plate with rice and torta. My kids were all smiling—especially my son, who even gave a peace sign! We sat together and ate with joy. I felt proud because they ate vegetables without complaints. In fact, they loved it!
There’s also a photo of the cooking process. That’s the mixture in the bowl before frying. It’s very easy to prepare and budget-friendly, too. And in the last photo, that’s the crispy torta resting on tissue to remove extra oil. Look at that golden color—perfectly crunchy! This lunch was not just about food. It was about togetherness. And the kids all gathered at the table for lunch, sharing laughs, and all said Mama, the torta is yummy. They really enjoyed something made with love. the best meals are the simple and healthy ones we prepare for our children. Hindi kailangan bongga. What matters most is we are together, happy, and full. Happy tummy, happy heart talaga. This crispy torta is now one of our favorite lunch meals at home.
