French fries with everything... or almost everything?

Writing about French fries, that delicious delicacy that accompanies us on every culinary adventure, presents us with an interesting challenge today: to enjoy them with everything. Many of the participants have taken up this challenge, but it has led me to reflect on some food combinations or pairings that make me wonder: do French fries go with everything or almost everything?

Without wanting to be the odd one out or a rebel without a cause, I started to think about some foods that I don't like, and coincidentally, some of them have to do with or involve French fries. One of them is French fries with fried eggs, which I've never thought was a good idea. Who in their right mind would mix these two foods? The betrayal since childhood is that fried eggs are eaten with a food that can be dipped in the yellow yolk.

A second food that I think doesn't go together is Bolognese sauce poured over French fries; that's an attack on spaghetti. An Italian would have a heart attack seeing tasty Bolognese sauce combined with French fries. Similarly, serving any spaghetti, lasagna, or plumitas with French fries is not a good pairing either.

In some cases, I have seen people eat fried fish accompanied by French fries. For me, it is not very unpleasant, so I try not to make that combination.

So, dear Hive user, while many proclaim their love for French fries with everything, I believe that this is not the case. There are some combinations that should be forgotten. Although the authors have written that there is no accounting for taste, everyone is free to eat whatever combinations they want; there are no limits to the creativity of a dish. But always use common sense and practicality when eating it.

Cheers, and let's raise a glass to the French fry, that great American food that now dominates the world.
