Howdy peeps and personas! My name is Richard F. Yates, and I am an old guy from the Pacific Northwestern United States. I'm a full time grandpa who does THE ART. Funny thing about ARTZ, maker-types are rarely content to just MAKE. There also exists a desire to SHARE creations, like the parents that parade their children in front of cameras for talent shows, EXCEPT without so much HORROR because most of my ARTZ aren't CONSCIOUS-OF-SELF.
I do my sharing in a variety of ways: Online on blogs and galleries and distributed databases, and thru the MAIL (postcards, zines, and mail-art), and in the PHYSICAL World (again, zines and postcards and paintings and stuff that I leave or show in places like coffee shops, book shops, and at parties, shows, and bar-b-cues!!!) Yes, I use some crypto platforms, because these are great places to share in an inexpensive way to a global audience, and I even receive the occasional "tip" when a stranger or online friend drops a few quarters on my art! Good damn stuff!!! (I don't make "a living," but I make enough to keep using the platforms, particularly TEZOS and HIVE. Plus, there IS a little ego boost when someone says, "Cool piece! Here's a buck!" Yeah...)
Make a change in the world by CREATING SOMETHING and letting it loose! That's how we do it!!!

[Felt pen, gel pen, colored pencil, crayon, and sticker collage on reclaimed cardboard with minor digital embellishments and color tweaking.] Being new to ARTZ, Riot needs practice. Things like holding a pen, applying enough pressure with a crayon or pencil to leave a mark, and determining where to add an element to a collage are skills developed with practice. We do A LOT of practicing!!!! (Personally, I love mixed media work...)
