The biggest stakeholders have too much power but sadly, that's the fundamental economics of HIve, so other than buying a few million Hive and staking it, there's very little to be done.
The issue is that the majority of these mega stakeholders care nothing about what they're voting on as it's all about maxxing curation for them. Even if the content is decent, there's often zero engagement from many users whose only reason for being here is to post and cash out.

Most of them also engage in vote trading and it's very easy to see. They vote all of each other's posts. It's free money. Yet, when they deem someone's posts not worthy they DV them to 0.

You nailed a tough truth... power concentration is a big challenge. I agree that some big stakeholders treat Hive more like an ROI engine than a community.

Hopefully more balance and engagement will grow over time.
