Are you craving for something today?Or you missed something like food that you been eating before?
That's what I feel a few days ago ,I was craving for nilupak ,it's a banana recipe for snacks.Way back when I was a kid ,I feel happy everytime my mom prepared this nilupak for us.Since we always eats the boiled banana and feel so happy when mom prepared this nilupak coz it's delicious for me.
A nilupak is mashed boiled banana anyway with sugar , shredded coconut and margarine .
We used lusong or a big mortar and pestle but today ,I only used a cheese grater since we don't have a lusong here.
Anyway ,I first boiled the banana.
After peeling off the boiled banana,it's time to grated it.
And that's it look alike after grating it.But for me ,using a mortar is better that grating it hihi .
After that ,add some sugar and the shredded coconut and the margarine.
Miz it well and mold it according to your desire.
And that's it for a an easy and quick nilupak or banana recipe for snacks.
Honestly while eating this ,I feel healed hahaha after satisfying my self for my cravings.
It's been a long time since I eat this recipe and truly I missed eating this.
I feel like I am turning back to the old days where we are living a very simple life in the mountain .
Where every meal we have some crops like banana , sweet potato and other crops in our table.
We can only have rice during the rice harvest season and it only last a short time.Most of the time ,crops feeds our hungry tummy.
Oh my ,I feel so emotional while writing this blog ,it reminds me my childhood days.
We may lived poor and every time we laughed ,it so genuine.
