So, We are here again on another Sunday, It's a day where we can do some creative tasks and share them with our Hive family.
This is a traditional dish, that is cooked with a lot of hard work, It's not cooked regularly, we cook it after a month or two when our family members are getting together or someone from the family asks for it.
Ingredients
- Half Kg Gram Flour
- 1 KG yoghurt.
- Salt ( as per taste )
- 3 TableSpoon Red Chilli powder.
- 1 TSpoon Turmeric powder
- 2 TableSpoon Cumin Powder
- 2 tablespoons dry coriander Powder.
- 1 Table Spoon Dried Fenugreek Leaves.
- 3 Onions
- 2 Potatoes
- 1 TSpoon Ginger Garlic paste.
- 1/2 TeaSpoon Baking Powder
- Oil For frying
- 4-5 Curry leaves.
- 4-5 round red chilies.
Cooking Procedure
This is a three-step process, first, we will cook Gram flour Curry, and in the second step we will fry Gram Flour fritters & The 3rd step will include Tempering or seasoning.
1st Step
First of all we will Take dry coriander, cumin, fenugreek, red chilies in plate.
Take the oil in the Dutch oven and turn on the flame and heat the oil.
Now put the spices we took in plate in the oil and fry it for one to two minutes until you start getting smell.
Now cut the onions.
Add them to the Dutch Oven and fry them for 3-4 minutes.
Now Take ginger Garlic paste In small bowl and add some water to it. it will enhance the taste.
Now add it to the Dutch Oven and fry it for 2 minutes.
Now take the dry spices in a plate.
add them to the Dutch Oven, and fry it for one minute.
now take the yoghurt and 200 gram floor and some water to it and blend it in the juicer.
add this into the Dutch oven.
Now add 3 liter water to it and mix it well. Cook it for 15 minutes. after it leave it on low flame for 2 hours. During this procedure, mix it in intervals.
2nd Step.
Now take 2 onions and 2 potatoes and green chilies and chop them in the chopper. Add them in the containers and also add 250 gram gram flour into the container along with onion, potatoes and chopped chilies.
Now take dry spices.
add the dry spices as shown in the figure.
add water and mix it well to make a thick paste.
It will look like this, it should be thick.
Now take the cooking oil and add oil for frying Fritters.
use the paste we made to make fritters.
The curry we cooked earlier was kept for two hours, and it reduced to half while simmering. Now we will add our fritters to it.
3rd step
Now we will move towards our last and #3rd step.
Next, we'll heat some oil and add cumin seeds and whole dried red chilies to prepare the tempering.
It’s time to finish the curry by adding the tempering.
Eat the One of the yummiest dish, you can eat it with plane white rice and also with bread if you like. I can guarantee you that you will enjoy it, if you cook it like i have shown in this post.
