I have visited Bali five times, but it was the first time I've stopped by a coffee shop on Sanur Beach. The coffee shop is called Soul on The Beach which is located right on the beach. This time, I'm in Bali to attend The 19th KOPAPDI, in conjunction with the 3rd Congress of the ASEAN Federation of Internal Medicine under the theme “Sustainable Healthcare in Internal Medicine: Addressing Climate Change for Better Patient Outcomes”. The congress was held at the Nusa Dua Convention Center from June 26-29, 2025.
I arrived in Bali a few days before the congress started, so I had plenty of time to enjoy the natural beauty and culture of Bali. I also got to visit some coffee shops and restaurants in the Island. One of the coffee shops I visited was Soul on The Beach. A friend of mine took me here to sip on a cup of espresso and, of course, enjoy the brunch.
Soul on The Beach is a very popular coffee shop in Bali. It's located on Sanur Beach, which is on the eastern coast of Bali. So, on a clear day, we can enjoy the stunning views of Mount Agung and Nusa Penida while sipping on a cup of coffee and indulging in various cuisines at this coffee shop. Moreover, the beautiful Sanur Beach and the gentle ocean breeze make the atmosphere even more relaxing and soothing. Not to mention, the chill music they play makes us want to linger even longer at Soul on The Beach.
I truly enjoyed my first visit to Soul on The Beach. My friend, Bambang, and I arrived at the coffee shop around 8 am. The journey wasn't too long since we're staying at the Movenpick Hotel in Jimbaran. When we arrived at Soul on The Beach, the coffee shop was already filled with customers, mostly foreign tourists.
Luckily, there was still a table available for us that morning, a corner table on the front terrace of the cafe. After we took a seat, a friendly servant came over to ask us if we were comfortable with the seat and she also asked what we would like to order.
You know, when I'm surrounded by coffee, I'm always in a great mood, and inspiration flows freely, making my poetic writing skills even better.
As I perused the menu, a symphony of flavors beckoned. My heart, a captive of coffee's allure, yearned for a cup of rich espresso. Yet, a connoisseur's restraint guided my choice, for I savor but one or two cups each day. In mindful pursuit of balance, I temper my passion with moderation, ensuring the daily dose of caffeine whispers sweet nothings to my senses, rather than overwhelming them."
As the morning sun ascended to its zenith, and our stomachs murmured with anticipation, we decided to indulge in a hearty breakfast to satiate our hunger. Though the day's canvas was painted with gentle hues, the sky was veiled, and the majestic Mount Agung remained hidden from our view, a fleeting moment of disappointment in an otherwise perfect morning.
We ordered a few of Soul on The Beach Cafe's popular dishes to satisfy our hunger, including Eggs Benedict Spinach, Sandy Dragon Smoothie, and Sunrise Smoothie Bowl.
Before long, our orders were served one by one with warm hospitality to our table. First, they presented us with the drinks we ordered, including a cup of espresso, a cup of Green Soul, a Cafe Latte, and a Beet the Antioxidants.
A few minutes later, the breakfast dishes we ordered arrived in front of us. The presentation of the Eggs Benedict Spinach, Sandy Dragon Smoothie, and Sunrise Smoothie Bowl was tantalizing, and they looked incredibly delicious.
The Eggs Benedict Spinach, a symphony of creamy and savory notes, was joined by the Sandy Dragon Smoothie, a vibrant elixir of flavors, and the Sunrise Smoothie Bowl, a radiant bowl of morning sunshine, each dish a testament to the cafe's culinary artistry.
That morning, I was truly blessed to savor the perfect blend of coffee and breakfast at Soul on The Beach Cafe in Sanur, Bali, surrounded by kindred spirits. It was a moment of pure bliss, a symphony of flavors and friendship that will forever be etched in my memory as a treasured keepsake.
A visit to Soul on The Beach Cafe was truly memorable. The cafe's cozy ambiance, nestled perfectly on the beach, was a haven of serenity, where soothing melodies harmonized with the symphony of waves. The delectable drinks and dishes were a culinary delight, a true feast for the senses. I shall undoubtedly return to this place on my future Bali visit, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to every traveler who seeks a hidden coffee shop on the “Land of Gods”.
