Hello, friends especially foodies!

Last Sunday, after churching we went to an area in South Jakarta, which is famous among foodies, blok M. There we could find many interesting restaurants, food stalls, cafes and so on. A bit prologue, our church is in Senayan City, and not far from there, there is a MRT (mass rapid transit) station which could connect us to Blok M. Lucky for us, eventhough the fast train was crowded but we still could get our seats. Because it is only two stations away, we reached blok M so fast.

When we first arrived there, the idea was searching a cafe to sip coffee. I remembered a famous cafe named Maiku cafe so we went there but unfortunately in our 3rd visit there we still couldn't enter this cafe. It was full, even they had lots of customers outside, waiting to be seated, so we just skipped it.

Then we walked to another cafe named Kopi Toko Djawa (means Javanese Coffeeshop). This coffee shop is a branch from their famous shop in Braga street, Bandung (the capital city of West Java). Some opened modest dining area was available by the time we arrived.

Inside was also modest and full. Even when it was not dine time. Well, this place had two sides, left was owned by the noodle shop while right by the coffee shop. The green part owned by the noodle shop, while red owned by the coffee shop. It was confusing because we could not even sit in the area owned by the noodle shop.. And i knew this later when i took a seat inside while my boyfriend was ordering coffee and cake, a waitress came to tell me about that. I rushed come to my boyfriend to join him because i couldn't even sit inside.

The stand of the coffee shop was like this. You could see their coffee collection, some coffee maker utensils behind, plus cakes and other snacks they sold were there inside the glass showing case.

For the menu, they had standard coffees like their authentic Toko Djawa Coffee Iced, Cloud Coffee Iced, Plain Coffee Iced, and Chocolate Coffee Iced.

They had special coffees like Long Black, Black Cloud Coffee Iced, and Lemonade Coffee Iced.

They had luxury coffees like Espresso, Cappuccino, Latte, Piccolo, Mocha, and Hazelnut Latte Iced.

One more for coffee, manual brew coffee.

They also had Milk Tea variants in Earl Grey and Cloud variant.

For other drinks, they had Chocolate, Green Tea, Tamarind, Orange Juice and Lemon Sorbet Iced.

For the cakes, you could see in their glass showing case. That day they had mocca cake, some kind of brownies, banana cheese bread, canele, chocolate donut and sugar donut.

Also they had their special menu: Cloud Strawberry Matcha and some variants of coffee in large bottle too.

Not a long time after had ordered, we received our order. Here they were!

What a mess, we couldn't get any chairs even outside.

So ok, we'll have them on the street, this would be my COFFEE TO GO.

Let me tell you how their taste

KOPI DJAWA COFFEE ICED

It was their authentic coffee which made of cold milk coffee with palm sugar. The coffee was strong, it had original coffee flavour of bitter and also sour. I could also tasted the milk. A bit sweet flavour came from the palm sugar. I think their coffee was just so so, so did my boyfriend.

CHEESE BROWNIES

The seller succeeded to convince my boyfriend with this kind of brownies. It was too oily and too soft for brownies. No crunchy at all. For the flavour, I could feel the chocolate in it but cheese, i couldn't taste it. Well so their brownies was also just so so.

Well, overall both of us wonder why it was so crowded and always has many customers with their coffee and brownies which were so so?
