The "splash" of written/unwritten rules are temporary, calmness of Hive pond is permanent.

In current case, I am not in support of any side, enforcer and enforced(who left Hive) and both are right on their positions.

        But, wouldn't it be better that we had "rules" coded into the chain? That could prevent people of "getting disappointed" and leave...

        btw. I do agree with your point of view... It's not black or white, and both sides have their "rights" and wrongs..
