Hello, Internet folks, how's it going? Today I want to tell you about a business venture I started recently. I'm a pastry chef and I love baking, so the most obvious choice for a new business venture would be one involving desserts.
Hola, gente de Internet ¿todo bien? Hoy quiero hablarles sobre un emprendimiento que inicié hace poco. Soy pastelera y amo hornear asi que lo más idóneo para un emprendimiento nuevo seria uno de postres
The first thing was to go and find the ingredients for the desserts I was going to sell, so I went to a fairly large bakery shop in my town. I love this shop because it has everything I'm always looking for. There's a variety of brands, sizes, prices, types... I always leave that shop feeling in love with it.
Lo primero era ir a buscar los ingredientes delospostres que iba a vender, para ello fui a una tienda de repostería bastante grandedemi ciudad. Amo esta tienda debido a que tiene de todo lo que busco siempre, hay diverdad de marcas, tamaños, precios, tipos... siempre salgo enamorada de esa tienda.
In addition to ingredients, they also sell kitchen and baking equipment and moulds. I really like it because they have good prices, so I bought everything in one shop. I was going to make strawberry and peanut truffles, traditional and coffee marquesas, lemon, chocolate and chip cookies, and lemon pie, so I chose everything I needed for that.
Además de ingredentes también venden equipo y moldes de cocina y repostería. Me gusta mucho porque tienen buenos precios asi que compré todo en una sola tienda. Haría, trufas rellenas de frutillas y maní, marquesas tradicionales y de café, galletas de limon, chocolate y chispas y pie de limón asi que elegí todo para ello
The truth is that the first and second batches of desserts sold out quickly. Some were bought by neighbours and others by people from the surrounding area, as I set up shop diagonally across from a school, so the students ended up buying the desserts.
La verdad la primera y segunda tanda de postres se vendieron rápido, algunos los compraron los vecinos y otros la gente de los alrededores ya queme puse diagonal a una escuela asi que los estudiantes terminaron comprando los postres
However, after a few days, sales dropped (I assume it was perhaps due to the price increase, although it was actually very small). Prices usually vary sometimes, meaning they go up a little and you have to adjust, which can work against you because some people don't understand it. So, to this day, I haven't made any more desserts. It's a sad story, haha.
Sin embargo después de los días bajaron las ventas (asumo que quizá fue la alza en el precio, aunque la verdad fue muy poco) usualmente los precios a veces varían es decir sube un poco de precio y hay que ajustar, algo que puede jugar en contra porque algunas personas no lo entienden, asi que a día de hoy no he hecho más postres, una triste historia jeje
