Visiting a new place — FoodiesUnite

Recientemente abrió un nuevo supermercado por la zona donde vivo, aunque no es tan cerca de mi casa ya que tengo que tomar un bus que tarda unos 30 minutos aproximadamente hasta llegar a un lugar llamado ruiz pineda, en esta especie de redoma se encuentra el nuevo supermercado que se llama Paramo, todo el mundo hablaba de la inauguración de este supermercado y de hecho, en su primer día fue todo un éxito (o mejor dicho caos, por el montón de personas que fueron)

A new supermarket recently opened in the area where I live, although it's not very close to my house since I have to take a bus that takes about 30 minutes to get to a place called Ruiz Pineda. The new supermarket, called Paramo, is located at a sort of roundabout there. Everyone was talking about the opening of this supermarket, and in fact, its first day was a huge success (or rather, chaotic, because of the number of people who went).

Aunque el lugar donde está ubicado no es el mejor, es una buena opción y algo muy diferente para esta zona de Caricuao. Hoy fui en compañía de mi mama a visitar por primera vez este supermercado y me encontré cosas bastante interesantes, la mayor atracción o publicidad que le hacían a esta tienda en tiktok era que sus precios son bastante económicos, mi misión hoy era verificar eso y poder ahorrar un poco de dinero comprando cosas mas económicas.

Although its location isn't the best, it's a good option and something quite different for this area of Caricuao. Today, I went with my mom to visit this supermarket for the first time, and I found some pretty interesting things. The main attraction or advertising for this store on TikTok was its very affordable prices. My mission today was to verify that and save some money by buying cheaper items.

Y realmente hay variedad de precios, pero algunas cosas siguen estando igual o mas caras que en otros sitios. Los únicos precios que puedo decir que son muy buenos son del área de manicera donde compramos una bandeja bastante decente de maní garrapiñado en $1.60 algo que normalmente en otros sitios seria mas costoso. La carne y pollo no son económicos pero si son bastante frescos, la atención en esa zona es muy buena, tienen un sistema bastante ordenado e incluso puedes sentarte a esperar mientras el carnicero prepara tu orden.

There's a real range of prices, but some things are still the same price or even more expensive than elsewhere. The only prices I can say are really good are in the peanut section, where we bought a pretty decent tray of candied peanuts for $1.60, something that would normally be more expensive elsewhere. The meat and chicken aren't cheap, but they are quite fresh. The service in that area is very good; they have a pretty organized system, and you can even sit and wait while the butcher prepares your order.

Cuando llegamos habían muchas personas pero aun podías caminar tranquilamente, de un momento a otro el lugar se puso extremadamente lleno y estar ahí sufriendo de ansiedad era como ponerte tu mismo un cuchillo en el cuello, yo me estaba desesperando muchísimo, es lo único que no me gusto… me sentía demasiado atrapada e incómoda, incluso para pagar fue horrible por la cantidad de personas que había.

When we arrived there were many people but you could still walk around peacefully. Suddenly the place became extremely crowded and being there suffering from anxiety was like putting a knife to your own throat. I was getting very desperate, that's the only thing I didn't like... I felt too trapped and uncomfortable, even paying was horrible because of the number of people there.

Y evidentemente se me hizo muy difícil poder tomar mas fotografías, pero gastamos aproximadamente $90 en este lugar y compramos carne, verduras, queso, jamón, entre otras cosas, los precios de algunos productos fueron buenos y otros no tanto, realmente fue más la publicidad que vi en internet que lo que me sorprendí realmente estando allá. Creo que es una buena opción para variar ya que aquí no hay muchos locales diferentes y es algo distinto, pero su ubicación lo hace bastante concurrido y para personas como yo es complicado soportar un ambiente como ese.

And obviously, it was very difficult for me to take more pictures, but we spent approximately $90 at this place and bought meat, vegetables, cheese, ham, among other things. The prices of some products were good and others not so much; it was really more the advertising I saw online than what actually surprised me when I was there. I think it's a good option for a change of pace since there aren't many different shops around here, and it's something different, but its location makes it quite crowded, and for people like me, it's difficult to tolerate an atmosphere like that.
