Hello everyone, happy evening!
Today I wanted to do something different, I bought ingredients to make my own homemade ice cream, this is a dream that although it is something silly for some, for me is extremely important achievement, since I was a kid I have always wanted to make my own ice cream, I looked for ways to do it in a thousand ways, putting milk in a bag with ice, I also had a dream as a child that at Christmas "Santa Claus" would bring me an ice cream machine that was very famous in my country at that time it was called "Kreisel Ice cream" but my parents did not have enough money to buy it so I never had it, although after I grew up I found out that it was not really worth that ice cream machine hahaha.
Today I finally fulfilled this dream of making my own ice cream and I had not done it because I was afraid that it would turn out bad, because honestly the ingredients sometimes are not so cheap to waste them like that, I watched many tutorials, all with different information than the others and in the end I made a combination of all these videos and luckily my ice cream turned out well.
I hope you like it and try it at home, because I swear it was delicious.
This time I think I used too many ingredients, maybe next time I will use less, but being my first time doing this, the truth is that I didn't have much idea of how everything would be, since the videos I saw all handled different information and I was quite confused, anyway, here I show you the ingredients and a beautiful picture of my cat posing next to them.
- 600 gramos de crema de leche
- 395 gramos de leche condensada
- 6 cucharadas de cacao en polvo
- Una cucharada de esencia de vainilla
Opcional:
- Dos paquetes de oreo
- 200 gramos de chocolate en gotas
- 600 grams of heavy cream
- 395 grams of condensed milk
- 6 tablespoons cocoa powder
- One tablespoon vanilla essence
Optional:
- Two packages of oreo
- 200 grams of chocolate drops
To begin, place the condensed milk in a plastic pot emptying the entire can, then apply cocoa powder and incorporate it into the mixture beating by hand, very slowly to avoid lumps or that the cocoa bounces all over the place, after it is well stirred we keep it in the refrigerator to keep it cold.
Before whipping the cream, I wanted to cut the oreo cookies into small pieces and place them in a bowl along with the chocolate drops.
Place the heavy cream previously placed in the refrigerator for a whole day since it is important to work it cold, I emptied the 3 pots of heavy cream I had and began to whip until it doubled in size and a little density, it is not necessary to turn it into whipped cream, just whip until it has a smooth and somewhat thick texture.
Then I took the condensed milk and cocoa mixture out of the fridge and incorporated it into the milk cream, it was difficult because the cream grew a lot and I had to take another container to divide the mixture so I could work a little better and make less mess, one was darker than the other, but still tastes like chocolate haha.
After mixing very well, add a spoonful of vanilla also to the mixture an then I took the cookie pieces and the chocolate drops to add them to the ice cream and mix again.
I had leftover cookies so I decided to decorate on top with some pieces in both containers, everything was ready and there was only the hardest part, put it in the freezer and wait impatiently until it was ready to try it, I did it very early at 8 am and took it out to try it at 4 pm, it still needed a little bit of freezing at the bottom, but on top it already looked like ice cream, I was surprised how creamy and delicious it was, the result is really spectacular, it looks like brand name ice cream and as I am a chocolate fan, I love that it has so many sprinkles and cookies.
And well, that was the process to make this delicious ice cream, I would like to try with other flavors very soon, besides it came out quite a lot.
