Let me take you on a little food journey I had while in Yogyakarta , Indonesia 🇮🇩. I visited this vintage-style café called Eastern Kopi TM , and wow — not only was the food delicious, but the whole place is full of nostalgic vibes and aesthetic corners. Here's my full experience!

I started off with this comforting plate of thick toast topped with grated cheese , chocolate sprinkles , and a generous chunk of butter on top. It’s a classic Indonesian-style toast and it brought back so many childhood memories!
• 🍚 Hainan Duck Rice — Soft, Juicy, and Flavorful..
This dish took me by surprise! A very tender and juicy roast duck, served with clear soup, pickled vegetables, and half a boiled egg. The flavors were not overpowering but satisfying (a perfect blend of Chinese-Indonesian flavors)!
• 🍜 Stir-Fried Beef Kwetiau — Wok Hei Heaven
For noodle lovers — this stir-fried kwetiau (flat rice noodles) with beef and veggies was amazing... The smoky aroma (wok hei) hit right as it landed on the table. Savory , slightly sweet, and super satisfying.
• 🍛 Chicken Fried Rice — Simple but Full of Flavor
Must try! Their chicken fried rice is the kind of dish that feels like home. It has scrambled eggs, chicken pieces, and crispy shallots on top. Nothing fancy, but trust me, it tastes good 🤤!
• 🏡 Cozy Vintage Vibes Everywhere
What makes this place stand out is the interior and ambiance. Walls are filled with old-school signboards, wooden furniture, and even a huge mural of a woman in batik. You can choose between indoor or outdoor seating — both are cozy!
• 👨🍳 Clean, Open Kitchen
One thing I appreciated — the semi-open kitchen setup where you can watch the chefs work. Everything looked clean, organized, and it made me feel more connected to the food I was enjoying.
