¡Saludos chicos! Primero que todo, ¡Feliz Navidad Gente! Espero que se hayan portado bien y que Santa les haya traído todos los deseos que pidieron este año.
Este 24 de diciembre en mi familia hicimos la típica cena navideña venezolana que consta de: Hallacas, Pan de Jamón, Ensalada de Pollo, Pernil, Torta Negra, Quesillo y, de bebidas, tomamos la infaltable Coca Cola, Vino, Ponche Crema y Sevillana.
En otras partes del país preparan otro tipo de dulces como el de lechosa (papaya) o membrillo, incluso en algunos lugares de oriente preparan las hallacas rellenas de pescado, existen otras muchas variantes también como las rellenas de garbanzos, pero en mi familia somos bastante tradicionales al respecto y preparamos la típica cena que se come en gran parte del territorio venezolano.
Cabe recalcar que en la familia hace algunos años nos reuníamos todos para hacer nuestras famosas hallacas, era una tradición familiar, pero con el tiempo hemos ido cambiando de lugares donde celebramos la navidad, muchos familiares se han mudado y se ha perdido un poco la tradición de prepararlas, así que este año solo decidimos comprarlas junto al pan de jamón, no nos juzguen, lo importante era tenerlas en el plato 😅.
Jamás hemos intentado hacer el Pan de Jamón, la verdad, siento que es una receta tan especial que solo los expertos la pueden realizar, por eso admiro a cualquiera que publique su receta en esta comunidad, actualmente existen variantes del pan de Jamón, como el relleno de queso crema y cubierta de hojaldre o los que no llevan aceitunas o pasas, pero nosotros siempre nos decantamos por el tradicional, es el que nos gusta.
El pernil siempre ha sido la especialidad de mi cuñado desde hace casi 20 años, así que es siempre el encargado de llevarlo a cabo y honestamente siempre le queda fabuloso la verdad, quisiera decirles la receta por aquí, pero lo siento, no tengo ni idea como lo prepara y le queda tan bueno 🫠.
Ya que mi hermana hace la torta negra, mi mamá y yo nos encargamos de preparar la ensalada de gallina y comprar los panes de jamón mientras que mi hermano, por otro lado, se encarga de llevar las bebidas.
Hace ya bastante tiempo nos reunimos en casa de la suegra de mi hermana a pasar la navidad, sobre todo porque están mis sobrinitos que pueden compartir con sus dos abuelas y, no sé ustedes, pero para mí el sentido de la navidad más que cualquier cosa es verlos a ellos sonreír.
Ha sido muy bonito ver cómo a poco mis sobrinos a medida que van creciendo han ido integrando más platos navideños a sus paladares, pasando de no comer casi nada, a casi todo, recuerdo cuando solo comían pan de jamón, luego agregaron la ensalada, posteriormente un poco de pernil y finalmente ¡Por fin! se están acostumbrando a las hallacas.
Celebrar la Navidad para nosotros es, sobre todo, celebrar que estamos todos juntos alrededor de la mesa navideña compartiendo entre todos y esperar la llegada de Santa y el Niño Jesús, mientras comemos nuestros deliciosos platos Navideños, así que, espero que, al igual que nosotros, ustedes la hayan pasado genial y que todos sus deseos se hagan realidad.

Greetings guys! First of all, Merry Christmas, people! I hope you have been good and that Santa brought you all the wishes you asked for this year.
This December 24 in my family we made the typical Venezuelan Christmas dinner consisting of: Hallacas, Ham Bread, Chicken Salad, Pernil, Black Cake, Quesillo and, for drinks, we had the inevitable Coca Cola, Wine, Ponche Crema and Sevillana.
In other parts of the country they prepare other types of sweets such as lechoza (papaya) or quince, even in some places in the east they prepare hallacas stuffed with fish, there are many other variants such as those stuffed with chickpeas, but in my family we are quite traditional in this regard and we prepare the typical dinner that is eaten in much of the Venezuelan territory.
It is worth noting that in the family some years ago we all got together to make our famous “Hallacas”, it was a family tradition, but over time we have been changing places where we celebrate Christmas, many relatives have moved and the tradition of preparing them has been lost a little, so this year we only decided to buy them along with the ham bread, do not judge us, the important thing was to have them on the plate 😅.
We have never tried to make the Ham Bread, the truth, I feel it is such a special recipe that only experts can make it, so I admire anyone who publishes his recipe in this community, there are now variants of the Ham Bread, as the cream cheese filling and puff pastry topping or those that do not carry olives or raisins, but we always opt for the traditional, is the one we like.
The pernil has always been my brother-in-law's specialty for almost 20 years, so he is always the one in charge of making it and honestly it is always fabulous, I would like to tell you the recipe here, but I'm sorry, I have no idea how he prepares it and it is so good 🫠.
Since my sister makes the black cake, my mom and I are in charge of preparing the chicken salad and buying the ham loaves while my brother, on the other hand, is in charge of bringing the drinks.
For quite some time now we have been getting together at my sister's mother-in-law's house to spend Christmas, especially because there are my little nephews who can share with their two grandmothers and, I don't know about you, but for me the meaning of Christmas more than anything else is to see them smile.
It has been very nice to see how little by little my nephews as they grow up have been integrating more Christmas dishes to their palates, going from eating almost nothing, to almost everything, I remember when they only ate ham bread, then they added salad, then a bit of pork leg and finally finally! they are getting used to the hallacas.
Celebrating Christmas for us is, above all, celebrating that we are all together around the Christmas table sharing together and waiting for the arrival of Santa and Baby Jesus, while we eat our delicious Christmas dishes, so, I hope that, like us, you have had a great time and that all your wishes come true.
