The day (Sunday) was filled with a lot of laughter, happiness, and merriment. My special group in church had our annual End-of-Year Thanksgiving, and it usually comes in a grand style.

The day dawned, and as early as 6:50 a.m., I left for church, which counted as me appearing late to the church service, but I wasn’t queried because I had a lot to do that morning before church. The church service was a big blessing and full of fun, especially the dances and how we took a long roll to walk to the altar side for thanksgiving with the items we bought.

After the church service ended, we took group photos—both the general one comprising both male and female, and the group photos for males only and females only. Other personal photos followed suit, and because I love to use the camera, I was the photographer.

After we were done with church activities, we went on to the location where we would have one of the biggest features of the event, which is the refreshment. The location we chose is far and inside the bush. We had cars and motorcycles to convey us to the spot.

When we got there, it was food, drinks, laughter, music, and dances. The food and drinks were so surplus that we had to take some home as takeaway for dinner and probably breakfast for the next day, especially for those who wouldn’t bother to take dinner again at night.

We rounded up in the evening around 4 p.m., but on our way back, the man who was driving us decided to stop by to greet his family member, and that was how we ended up spending up to one hour there. Although, we were entertained with drinks too.

Thanks for reading.

Photos are mine.
