This weekend I went to visit my parents, who live in the countryside. A while ago, I shared in this post that they had bought some land for cultivation near their home.

After the land was plowed, they started planting corn, beans, potatoes, cassava, and this week they also started planting the first fruit tree seedlings — orange, lemon, coconut, cashew, mango, among others. The land they acquired is very productive, you can plant a lot of things!

This weekend, they invited me to eat corn roasted over a fire — and of course I didn't refuse the invitation. There's nothing better than enjoying fresh corn, picked right off the cob. I posted on @peakd's Snap that I was roasting corn, and then @caspermoeller89 gave me an excellent tip: wrap the corn in aluminum foil, spread butter on it, and use lemon pepper.

Unfortunately, I didn't have any aluminum foil or lemon pepper, so I improvised: I spread butter on it, wrapped the corn in its own husk, and put it straight on the fire.

And wouldn't you know it, it worked! The corn was surprisingly delicious! Thank you so much for the tip, @caspermoeller89. #Snap really is incredibly useful — I learned a new way to prepare green corn!

I hope you enjoyed this post!

[PT]

I'm glad you liked it! It is a delicious treat, aluminium foil or the natural husk (I should have mentioned that), it turns out absolutely incredible! Unless(!!) you put on too much spices, like I did the very first time I tried 😂

I am very, very happy you liked it! I would feel horribleif you had tried it and just hated it 😅
