Upon arriving in Maceió, before checking in, we stopped at a restaurant for lunch. In this region, it’s common to find many self-service restaurants without scales. We chose Sauaçuhy, where the all-you-can-eat price is R$ 35.00 (about $7).
The protein options are limited to two choices, but it’s still possible to put together a very generous plate. I chose two seafood dishes: sururu and cod.
The restaurant also stands out for its decor, filled with elements of Northeastern Brazilian culture, such as sculptures of cangaceiros and the traditional “flirtatious girl,” as well as various other handcrafted pieces. Right at the entrance, there’s a small fountain with little fish, which makes the atmosphere even more pleasant.
It was a great choice to stop at this restaurant, as we were able to eat well and enjoy high-quality food. Compared to other restaurants in the area, it offered excellent value for money, providing variety, good food, and a fair price—in my opinion, even cheaper than many other places.

Em nossa chegada à cidade de Maceió, antes de fazer o check-in, passamos em um restaurante para almoçar. Nessa região, é comum encontrar vários estabelecimentos no estilo self-service sem balança. Escolhemos o Sauaçuhy, onde o preço para comer à vontade é de R$ 35,00 (cerca de $7).
A proteína é limitada a duas opções, mas ainda assim é possível montar um prato muito bem servido. Eu escolhi dois pratos de frutos do mar: sururu e bacalhau.
O restaurante também chama atenção pela decoração, repleta de elementos da cultura nordestina, como esculturas de cangaceiros e da tradicional “menina namoradeira”, além de diversas outras peças artesanais. Logo na entrada, há uma pequena fonte com peixinhos, que deixa o ambiente ainda mais agradável.
Foi uma ótima escolha parar nesse restaurante, pois conseguimos comer bem e com qualidade. Em comparação com outros restaurantes da região, ele apresentou um excelente custo-benefício, oferecendo variedade, boa comida e um preço justo — na minha opinião, até mais barato que muitos outros locais.
